Hello all. I was having issues with my jeep and one of my codes was for a faulty crank position sensor. I replaced it with a cheap aftermarket one and since have fixed the problem. As you know aftermarket sensors are trash on jeeps. Mine is a ‘97 2.5 and im just wondering what the best brand is without breaking the bank and spending $150 on a part like that. Is there oem one that isnt mopar? Any input is helpful thanks

I learned this to be true on Porsche and I now assume on all vehicles. At least Mopar isn’t crazy expensive.

Can you buy aftermarket from the original supplier? Bosch as an example? That’s been a good route to go in my experience but I’m not sure who makes the crank sensor for Mopar. You can usually get the same thing for cheaper if you get the original supplier part but it just won’t say Mopar on the box.

NTK is the oem manufacturer.

For the life of me i cannot find ntk brand ones. Is there a website? I tried the actual ngk website but i just cannot find it. And getting it directly from mopar just feels like overpaying at $140

Thank you guys. I went with the ntk replacement. Much cheaper and a brand thats trusted. Thanks for the recommendations!
