Did the shocks come with the Savvy kit? Did you cycle the suspension to find out how much to extend the bump stops?

Any amount of bump stop Savvy would include would simply be for you to have some bump stop to adjust.

Bump stop can ONLY be determined by cycling the suspension. Unless you do that, there is no cookie cutter answer as to X amount of bump stop for X amount of lift. It simply doesn't work that way unfortunately.

.Just finished savvy tt and starting To cycle suspension front and rear. Front looks good 4 inches of gap between stops and 4.5 inches on shocks. Thanks

Are you using a floor jack to move the axle around without the coils and jounces installed?

No not yet . I will be doing that later today. It just looks odd to me on the gap of the rear bum stop

The floor jack will tell you what you need to know. Bump stop extensions are just something that is required anytime larger or longer parts are installed.

Move the axles and steering around in every position you can think of. Add just enough extension to prevent things from mashing into other things.

I was hoping to see someone else’s Savvy rear bump stop pictures
If Savvy didn't provide the shocks or the tires, there is no way they can begin to guess how much extension is needed for your Jeep. This is true for any kit out there. The brand does not matter.

All you are doing is filling the gap between the cup and axle pad. It is what it is. Pics of mine will only be an example of why a result might look like.

When the bumps are touching, what are the shocks doing? How much shaft is showing?

Were the tires on? Did you stuff one side and key the other hang?

Shock is bottomed out. Need about 1.5 to 2 inches longer stops. Tire are not on and other side is hanging

It doesn't sound like you need quite that much more extension.

I've never used Currie bump stops. Don't they come with additional spacers? When they make contact, there should be about 1/4-3/8" of shaft showing to account for the poly compressing. Do bear in mind that other things like tires might need more bump stop than your shocks do. That's why I asked if the tires were installed while cycling the axles.

To add, there is a black rubber jounce on the Fox shock shaft. Be aware that the shock can freely compress beyond that. Meaning today image with 4" of exposed shaft really has 4.5" of exposed shaft.

Tires are not touching any thing. But the shock is bottomed out. Do I need to center the stops better?

If that is the case, then yes, you need some more extension.

The bumps could be centered better, but that will require cutting off and re welding the upper spring seat.

If you can remove the shock relocating brackets that would help regain shock travel. You would be better off trimming the axle spring perch.

That help a lot. Just need about 1 inch spacer. Do you guys recommend hockey pucks?
Thanks a lot jjvw and tworley

I'm not the biggest fan of hockey pucks, but if it is under the poly Currie bump, then that should work.

I also can't help but wonder if these upper mount relocators would work.

If you have a body lift and the shock body fits up there, then even less bump stop would be needed.
