Savvy discount?

Any kind of discount of shipping from savvy? Looking at getting rock sliders and wanted to go savvy but not after seeing the 113 dollar shipping charges....So what I’m asking is there any kind of discount available, do they ever run sales/free shipping? If not what other sliders are out there that compare.

That sounds about right for shipping. I would expect the same for any other sliders. As an owner of Savvy sliders, I don’t don’t see how any other slider design could possibly be as effective as the double layer aluminum/steel design by savvy.

Do you have any idea whatsoever how much shipping actually costs? I ordered their sliders recently and the box is HUGE! I dare you to price out shipping on a box that big and see what it costs. I absolutely promise you it will be more than $113. Think I am kidding? Plug in numbers and see for yourself.

I ship so much stuff it's hard to keep track. Shipping those sliders with standard UPS rates would probably be around $250 to most places, but more from coast-to-coast.

Peoples perception of shipping jeep parts gets skewed when you deal with large companies like NR4x4 where you can get just about anything shipped for free(in the consumers eyes).

Haha, yes, it does. The reason being that I've shipped some seriously large stuff and the shipping prices blow me away. I mean I shipped a Savvy front bumper from Arizona to California and it cost over $200!

Shipping prices as I mentioned have done up tremendously. If anyone saw the box those Savvy sliders come in they would immediately know that they couldn't have been cheap to ship. So my guess is the actual cost of shipping would be somewhere around $250-$300, but Savvy gets negotiated UPS shipping rates (as most businesses that ship a lot do) and so they are passing on their cost to the customer which is probably about 50% off shipping costs.

Still not cheap, but like I said, those sliders are big and heavy!

Of course what they aren't telling you is that it's not actually "free shipping", they've just built the cost of shipping into the cost of the part.

Dont forget that such a large distribution business(PPP) most definitely has better negotiated shipping rates than any small business would ever get.

Absolutely! One of my biggest clients ships LOTS of stuff via UPS and they get over 50% off UPS published rates. I often go through them if I need to ship something really big.

I paid 70$ for LJ slides to Las Vegas. Didn’t think twice about it. 113$ to PA is a awesome deal. Just pull the trigger you will not be disappointed.

I thought I read somewhere that Savvy would refund some money if shipping was less than advertised. I can't confirm this but also, COVID, so I wouldn't count on it.

Just to give you perspective, I'm buying sliders and corner guards = $340 shipping to MD.

Try shipping the 17" Big Brake Kit to NY. 2 14 x 14 x 14 boxes at 70 lbs. each before they raised the prices, at 175ish. Then they instituted their 25 dollar surcharge for any box 50 lbs. and over. That put another 50 bucks on the shipping with no other changes. Now we've had to repack everything to get it into 3 under 50 lb. boxes to save on shipping even though there is an additional box. Way too much work but it did lower the cost to the customer. Really slows down my shipping guy. He was averaging 3 hours a day with another hour of fluff time prepping stuff. Now he is running around 5 hours a day with no fluff.

I have noticed substantial increases in shipping rates all across the board. I bought some wheels from Quadratec last year and the total including sales tax and "free shipping" was $665 for five wheels.

When I went to return them since I wasn't going to keep the silver TJ, I punched the numbers weight and dimensions for all five boxes into UPS. To return them from Arizona to Pennsylvania UPS was telling me it would be over $350, and that was with negotiated rates.

Ultimately I just ended up selling them locally since there is no way I was going to pay over half of what the wheels cost brand new in shipping.

Shipping ain't cheap. I know that we as the customer don't like getting hit with a huge shipping price after adding something to our shopping cart, but given that the U.S. is just printing off money now like it's no big deal, we should probably get used to things going up in price even more.

That extra distance adds up. From here (half way to NY) that costs around $40/box.
