Hello everyone. I recently discovered something underneath my TJ. I bought it two months ago so I’m still becoming familiar with it. Forgive me for not knowing what the part is called but it’s broken. I attached pictures. Should I be worried and how can it be fixed? Thank you so much!

Thats just the exhaust hanger. Take it to the muffler shop and they will weld it right up. No problems

Easy fix! Any muffler shop will charge you no more than $100 to fix that exhaust hanger. Heck, most people would just fix that for free it’s so easy.

If you want it done for the least amount then find a welding shop. They are usually a lot less than most overpriced muffler shops.

I drove around for months trying to figure out a rattle and it was that being broken. You have another hangar in the back. But get it taken care of sooner rather than later. You don't want the exhaust manifold taking all the weight.

As long as the welding shop knows to push it up before welding so it actually supports some of the weight.

If you have a neighbor who owns a Mig gas welder borrow it, easy fix. You can do it, your a jeep owner now, get those hands dirty ;)

Let's keep in mind that if the neighbor doesn't have a welder but has some zip ties and/or fairly large hose clamps, the Jeep owner should get his own welder. You never really know what a neighbor will do until it's done, even if they do have a welder.
