Skid Row Off-Road mirror relocation brackets?

Anyone here using the skid row offroad mirror relocation brackets? The design is interesting. You have to use the older style mirrors for it to work but the right passenger side mirror seems like it is a good spot. I can't find any photos of how close the mirror will be to the antenna ..

Cool idea - hate those quick release knobs but I’m assuming that could be changed for normal hardware.

They have a version without the quick release hardware as well for cheaper :

Looks similar to CJ* mirror height, no? You think the skid row one is taller because it bolts to the upper hinge part?

Looking at them again, they might set the mirror at the same height, just further forward. The non quick release version is the nicer looking of the two.

When I was making and repeatedly refining my mirrors, I kept working to put them as low in the widow view as I could.

They look like they end up putting the early TJ Yj mirrors pretty close to where the CJ mirrors always were. I bet they work just as well as long as you can handle looking through the windshield to see the right mirror. I never had a problem with that and almost went with CJ mirrors on my TJ.

The quick-release bolts are strange. I understand how they work but every time you remove them you should be using a torqs wrench to reinstall the original taper head bolts... if you didn't lose them, and why are they using the third quick-release bolt on the driver's side?

Actually the ad for the one with without the quick-release bolts is strange too. One picture shows it comes with 4 bolts and washers but there are 5 bolts and washers total being used in the other two pictures.

Even with the weirdness I'd probably get them if I had the early style mirrors and was looking for permanent relocation of them.

Since my TJ is a 2006 I bought these mirrors for when I'm doorless. I've probably driven over 3000 miles with them on, at least a few hundred miles over 60 MPH and plenty of off roading. I never had them need readjustment. Heck, I've only had to readjust them once when putting them back on the TJ after sitting on a shelf all last winter.

I found a review video for them. I just picked up a pair of 97-02 mirrors off of CL that seem to be in good shape for a song.

I think I am going to give these skid row brackets a try. Need to fill in that logo ... if it were small I wouldn't mind, but even with a black jeep this will bug me. Why do companies make logos so large, so cheesy.

Whoever adjusted the passenger side mirror for this photo has clearly never driven a CJ-7. I learned early on that the only way to really see anything was to pull it in tight and view it through the bottom passenger corner of the windshield.

IMO- Heat those bolts before you try to loosen them.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but didn’t want to start a new one with this on here.

Did anyone try these relocation brackets or know of any others for our TJs that will let you out the passenger side mirror in the original cj location? Hate my door hinge mirrors and, well it’s doors off season now.
