Skyjacker suspension and handling issues

And is properly correcting as straightforward as disconnecting the drag link at the pitman arm with wheels straight, adjust steering wheel to center, adjust drag link sleeve to match and then reconnect?

You shouldn't need to disconnect at the pitman, just loosen the sleeve clamps, and adjust center, tighten back up... drive it and adjust as necessary...

Thanks to artsifrtsi and mrblaine. I adjusted the steering wheel through the drag link sleeve to get it centered (after three tries) and with a quick test drive it feels better already. If I'm understanding this torque steer phenomena correctly then with a power steering gear it is hydraulically trying to keep the wheel centered (such as when you let go of a full throw turn and the wheel spins back to near center), so if the steering wheel is clocked I was constantly fighting its tendency to go back to center, particularly with sudden movements....is that correct?

That’s the theory with the steering box being centered.

I would double check your toe, should be 1/8 - 3/16 toe in, if less toe it can feel unstable or twitchy.

It assists (or pushes) in the direction the wheel is turned. Not fighting to straighten it.
Caster is what returns your wheels to center.
