Spare Tire Advice

Quick question. I have a stock 99 tj sport with 17 inch wheels on it. Im thinking of putting 245/75/17 tires on it but was currious how much they might rub. I dont plan on doing a lot of off roading with it just yet but the 31s lookngood on your jeep and woukd be essentially the same size. Do you rub alot with your set up
I don't have any rubbing with 31s, but I imagine if I were to go offroad and flex a bit, it wouldn't take much to rub the fenders. However, that's partly because I have a bit of sag in the front after adding a steel bumper and winch. I'm planning on adding a 2" lift to handle that eventually though.

Did you extend the snubbers? If you did it shouldn’t be hitting the bumper. I just did 31’s myself and extended the snubbers secured the tire right and kept it from hitting the bumper.

Go to harbor freight and buy two rubber mallets $2.99 each. Buy three M6 bolts 70mm long. Cut the rubber off the mallets to fit the gap you need, drill a hole and put the bolt through the new spacer and the snubber - all done. Works great.
