Spring perch relocation on a stock TJ?

While upgrading my rear springs to some MOOG 3227s I confirmed that my rear upper spring perches were rusted....badly. I'm in the process of ordering/welding on new ones and "while I'm in there" I thought about relocating them. Currently my TJ is at stock height. I want to do a lift later, but don't plan on it any time soon. Would it be best to relocate my spring perches now, even though I'm not running a lift? I'd hate to have to cut off and reweld my repairs a few years down the road, but if it's incompatible with stock height springs then I guess I'll have to. Thoughts?

The purpose of relocating the rear upper spring seats is to make the bump stops line up again after raising the pinion. At stock height, your bump stops line up where the spring seats are.
