Summit seat foam review

Dang I think I have at least that much on mine, since I drove it to Moab and back since. If it doesn't flatten out soon I'm going to have to cut the base down and booger weld it back together.

Eat more steak, drink more beer. :devilish:

Until recently, I was probably 230 average, 250 max, so a little extra to break in the foam.

These summit seat foam replacements are GREAT. It’s like a brand new Jeep. I which I had these in my gladiator.

I replaced my driver's seat foam in June of '24. Since, I've put about 20k on the clock. Mine has broken in nicely-initially I sat a bit too high and now it's good. My only real complaint: the foam isn't as breathable as the original. Still, it's much better than sitting on the seat frame rails.

I finally got around to replacing my driver side cushion yesterday, I'd say it was long overdue! I'm riding high again.

Is there a height difference between the 03-06 and the earlier model? 6'4" and my rubi is an 06. Really do not want to worry abbars marking. smacking.

I don't know but I can say the early version gets you up higher for sure. I would think the late version would be the same but with different attachment points.

Yes, pretty sure the OEM seats sit around an inch lower for ‘03-‘06 compared to ‘97-‘02. IIRC it had something to do with optimal placement of the airbag against the average human torso.

I’m 6’4” with an 04 and I just did the foam upgrade, I definitely sit higher and sometimes it’s hard to see a red light when at the front of the line but I don’t hit anything above my head.

interesting! for now i just get a good neck stretch but the comfort has been worth it!

I'm 6' 5", so I understand your situation a bit. I've had these in the last three cars I've owned, been using them since around 2008.
