So I have always used power stop heavy duty. They last amazingly and I've never warped their rotors even on my diesel pull 20k. I'll do some reading I know Mr Blaine and Black Magic have made my radar but haven't looked into his products too much to see if his are ceramic. Tires will be in the spring with my bonus. I really want bead locks but holy hell they are 500 (give or take) each rim.
 
Ok so apparently I still screwed something up here. I just got back from 4 wheel parts. I had them do the alignments on the Jeep and was going to have them install the skid but they said the fan was hitting the shroud. I have a 4 inch suspension lift, 1.25" body lift, 1" MML, and the UFC skid plate. I did not do the ultra lift I did the Extra clearance version not the ultra. What am I doing wrong here or what question did I not ask before starting all this? Do I need a bigger MML?
 
It sounds like you need to relocate the fan shroud, the combination of the MML, the body lift and the tuck of the skid is causing the fan to hit the shroud.

Not my favorite way but I get it. My main concern is that going to put stress on the motor mounts again? I just got it all aligned back where I want it so everything is straight and true to each other.
 
Nah all your doing is making the round holes on the plastic fan shroud slots.

I drilled new holes about an 1" below my existing ones and used a jigsaw to join them up.

Then reinstall...get the bolts started, slightly snug and rotate the fan to make sure their isn't any contact. Nudge it up or down until it's not making noise and tighten down the bolts.

I did notice my Jeep likes to suck in a lot of dust since there is about a half inch gap at the bottom of the shroud. Thinking of filling that in with a piece of aluminum HVAC tape.

Does that put the motor mounts back in a jamb? When I did the body mount and mml it stressed the motor mount. I just don't want to create a problem later or am I overthinking this? Here is a picture before I removed the lift kit spacers under the factory skid plate.

You don’t need to do anything with the transfer case. What you are probably reading about is people who did a tummy tuck which requires raising the transfer case since they’re raising the whole belly of the rig. Yes, it’s a different skid.

Since you have a Rubicon, all you really need to do is use your rear adjustable control arms to adjust the pinion angle so that it is pointing directly at the transfer case . There are better explanations on Tom Wood driveshaft website. It’s possible you’ll need a longer rear driveshaft as well.

Motor mounts are about 90% of idle vibes

Slotting the shroud holes so it clears the fan has zero effect on the MML.

No but the skid raises the transmission and not the motor so it will have some twist on the motor mounts. I just don't want to make it as drastic as before.

If I’m following, you removed the transfer case skid drop spacers, you have a 1” MML, and a 1.25” BL. Is this correct?

Yes sorry if I wasn't explaining correctly. Worst case I put the spacers back in.

P.s. the transmission is bolted to the engine, so if you raise the transmission you also raise the engine.

I think you should be fine at the MM’s. When you removed the drop at the TCase skid it raised the transmission (and engine slightly) changing the degree of tilt. When you added the MML you raised the axis of tilt and reintroduced approximately the same degree of tilt you had with the TCase drop.

All that should be left is the shroud clearing the fan.

Lol raising one tilts the other it shouldn't raise it. Basically they are bolted to one another but they are also both mounted independently so raising one does not technically raise the other it changes the angle they both sit at. I'd rather not put the spacers back in I just don't want to stress the motor mounts again.

MM is the axis. Raising the MM raises the axis, the motor, and increases the angle of tilt.

Removing the TCase drop raises the TCase and decreases the angle of tilt.

I personally think you are fine. 1,000’s of people have done this without issue. I would get rid of the TCase drop.

Awesome thank you and again man I may be a little dense on the uptake just making sure I understand. Buddy wrecked my truck so now keeping the Jeep on the road has gained importance lol. Until I buy a new diesel.
