Tailgate vent removal

Looking to pop out the tailgate vent to install a flush mounted 3rd brake light after removing the tire carrier, etc.

Anyone know how to remove tailgate vent,without damaging the parts? Thanks

No never saw an answer, just took my time and gradually vent removed using plastic spatula, no damage

Just gently pull on the bottom or top and it will pop out. If it's brittle you can break them. They are just held in by little platic tabs formed into the plastic. As stated above a thin piece of plastic will help pry.
