The Silver Fox LJ Build

The shipping was $16. 🙄

2021 on amazon so no shipping. Guess it was a bit more than $12. Ever since then they've been pretty terrible at keeping parts in stock no matter where you look.

I also bought some from Trail Recon's site in 2023 and 2024, the price held for those purchases

Bought the O-ring bag from Just Differentials in 2023, but would never order from them again, if they still exist. I ordered some shims also and paid for overnight delivery, I hadn't received anything for a month. Had my credit card cancel the order and they shipped the next week.

Hardly any ARB parts on Amazon.

Even if they are, I have had to return more auto parts than I have kept off Amazon and stopped ordering there. It's either I get a used part someone else returned, a different brand than ordered, or a knockoff part in a fake box.

I’m liking Summit these days. It does drive me nuts when I order small parts that could easily be tossed in a bubble wrap envelope and shipped for $4 and I get charged $15-20 (approximate cost of the parts).

if I remember correctly you installed the ball joint deletes. Have any feed back on them?

Not enough miles to have any helpful feedback. No issues so far. My goal with them is just to not have to change out ball joints as often. These rebuild without removal, of course.

Tired of messing with the compressor and rear locker. Just glad it worked good enough to go to Sand Hollow.

Leak in the bulkhead. Couldn’t even find one of the o-rings that was supposed to be there. Probably never was there. Who knows. Every problem I have had and every problem I’ve taken apart has been a wrangled mess. Ordered all new bulkhead parts. Set up. Decided to use the push fitting for ease. Tightening till airtight and compressor dies. 40A appeared partially damaged. Tested continuity. Good. Replaced anyway. Still problem. Relay working. 12.2V at the connector to the brush cap. Direct connect to battery and won’t turn the compressor. Ordered new brush cap. Thinking of buying a whole new compressor and using old for parts. Would like to just be in business and not troubleshooting all summer.

When we moved to WA from TX seven years ago, we brought a 5x11 utility trailer. We had lived on 12+ acres and it served a lot of purposes. In WA we moved to a house in town. I kept the trailer at the house for a few years, but we eventually ran out of space with all the kids getting cars and us getting a teardrop trailer. I had access to some property, so I left it there and used it once a year or so. Recently I noticed marmots had moved onto the property. It wasn’t long before their crap was everywhere. Then, a couple weeks ago, I noticed several of my trailer lights were hanging out of their orifices. Dumb marmots were eating the grommets and chewing the wiring. I decided I’d bring it home, fix everything and sell it. I have always thought that if I can’t maintain something or afford to pay someone to do it, I probably don’t need to keep it. I’m overdue on this one. So, I’ve been getting it in shape. Hopefully it will make someone a nice trailer. I bought it right after I bought my Red Jeep and it is the perfect width for our rigs. It got a serious bath, some paint, new grommets and one new light.

Not much happening with the Jeep. Got the ARB brush cap yesterday, and will try to get some time to put it on this week and see if I can get the air line sealed.

Fucking ARB Shitheads. I followed all their troubleshooting steps. Talked to Austin. I can't get it to run. Good fuses, ran direct wiring from the battery while the Jeep is running and getting 13.4V at the connector in the driveway. They told me I needed a new brush cap. Ordered that. installed it. Won’t start. Whacked it with a rubber mallet many times. Doesn’t work. Fuck it. So mad right now

Was it a new compressor or old? Still under warranty? No idea what your problem is. Hang in there.

Your post made that pretty clear
I think we could all hear that vein in Jeremy's head pounding and sympathized. I try my best not to curse (only because I think it lacks imagination when done too casually, not because I find it offensive), but sometimes, that's the only pressure release that works! :ROFLMAO:

Edited: Again, my proofreading skills need work.

The imagination comes from how eloquently you can string the different curse words together.
