TJ hard tops

My 03 has a 03 top. No whistles, but my doors are hard to close when the windows are up. Maybe a 97-02 top would work better for that?

Sounds like a nice good seal to me.

Every hard top I've had (and I have had a few) created the same issue with the doors closing. I think they just force too much air in at one time for any vents to really help.

Ha ha! See you need the 03-06 TJ with the 97-02 hard top. Vents, vents and more vents! It’s the solution to all your whistle and door closing dilemmas.

Oh, that’s my 1800th post. At least I’m smiling and I still have a $100 bill in my pocket!

They are all the same. The only difference is that the 97-02 models have a vertical vent on the rear, whereas the 03-06 does not. Other than that, they are 100% interchangeable.

Thanks. Any good after market hard tops? Are they a lot of trouble to change between the hard tops to the soft ones?

And another difference is the style of the plugs going into the rear wiper/defroster. There is a fix for that somewhere in the earlier posts! My 05 came with a softtop from the factory but no wiring harness to the back window. I'll have to get that also.

The Smittybilt one is not very good from what I hear, and there are some others, but they are way more expensive than just buying a used factory hard top.
