anyone know a trick to keep the vent hose on the transfer case with the savvy cable shift? i don't remember what the factory linkage looked like, but with the savvy cable, my vent hose gets pushed right off.

not sure a zip tie can help. the link rotates and pushes right at the end of the vent hose. when moving the xfer case handle, you can feel it is a pretty hard interference.
i'll try a pic from below, but my next step is remove xfer case handle from to get access from top. then, of course, the linkage will be out of the way. i think a bend in the link might help.

There are far less moving parts with a cable shifter for stuff to get caught up in. The factory linkage had two links and a bell crank that moved. Not sure what you have going on but it isn't the fault of the cable shifter. That and I've never been able to just pull a vent hose off of the vent fitting on a t-case. We always have to get a pair of needle nose pliers up in there and move the tension clamp off of the vent fitting before we can pull the vent hose.
no part of the savvy cable is what is hitting. i only mention the shift cable is because after that install is when the problem started. to get these pics is the first time i have moved the selector to where the problem is and looked underneath. by the clean shiny metal, it looks like they hit metal on metal even after the hose is gone
