Trouble Starting 2001 TJ

It wasn't the Crank Position Sensor. It was the third injector shorting out. I replaced the heat shield and found the wires to the injector looked real bad. Cut the bad part of the wire out and butt spliced new wires in its place. Also insulated the injectors and fuel rail. Looks good and have had no issues since.

This is a warranty recall issue. We found out when we took the wife's Jeep in to have a similar issue addressed. They cleaned up, installed a heat shield, and we went on our way. Apparently, there was something in the mfg if these that led to a vulnerability in cylinder 3, which allowed debris to enter through the intake and shut down that cylinder...

Anybody else having the problem may want to take their TJ to a dealership and get the work done for free!
