Hello all! So I just started getting into TJ life, this is Jeep number 6 of among 5 other XJs. This was an inherited TJ that has been in the family since new so I have a fairly good understanding of the history.
So my main issue I need to fix with it is the HVAC harness had what is seeming to be a complete meltdown. I have heard the plug and fan switch melting because of a bad fan. I found not only the fan switch melted, but also the hvac vacuum mode switch on 2 pins, and the fan relay was burnt on one of the plugs as well. I am sure there is more since I never got the blower fan to work at all after replacing the fan, resistor, fan switch and the relay plug. So instead of tracking down the circuit I want to just get the whole under dash harness and save me the time and stress. So with that said, is there anything I need to keep in mind when buying a used harness as far as differences between packages and years? I have a 2000 that was non AC from the factory (Canadian market model is what is said on the build sheet) but had an AC system retrofitted.
