I doubt there is enough snow to make it challenging to get to UTC. We could always journey over to loon lake though.Isn’t there snow there already? Or do we need fresh?
@Indy
What time is the "Ham Radio For Dummies" class taking place during the run?
I have a feeling Midnight TJUR wants to join
https://hamstudy.org/sessionsI am waiting on parts!
But I can use my handheld to listen. Only test I can find is same day as the run until next month.
Doesn't your HAM radio also do GMRS?
This is a good alternative if there is a lack of snow, we could go play on the Granite Slab.I doubt there is enough snow to make it challenging to get to UTC. We could always journey over to loon lake though.
I took a practice test “cold turkey” just to see where I need to focus...everywhere I guess.My ham radio might be able to make you a ham sandwich all I know.
I think you have to modify it so it can use those frequencies.
You need to do the MARS mod. The cheap baofeng can though.Doesn't your HAM radio also do GMRS?
I have a GMRS radio in my Side by side. It can send and receive on some UHF and VHF frequencies.Doesn't your HAM radio also do GMRS?
