New to forum, Have owned a Cherokee, 2000 TJ, and just bought a 2nd 2000 TJ.
Even though my first 2000 TJ was great, except for the frame rot that became evident at the trans support rail (traded for a 41MPH Fiat 500). I have 2 questions about the new one, a solid 5 spd Sahara.
?1 - The steering wheel was slightly off center when we got it. 300 miles - and it seems to be getting worse (walking). All is tight, expert 3 in lift, tall tires, tracks and drives excellent except for this steering wheel issue. Read items in forum on how to straighten off center, but nothing about one getting worse whem driven, (not off-roaded yet)
?2 - Jeep sat in basement for 2 years before we bought it. On take off it has a clutch/pressure plate stumble until you get it rolling. Does what it spose to up and down the gears. Slight TOB noise is noticed. I'm thinking TOB problem and maybe slave or clutch master. Feels like something is sticking when clutch first make contact.
Any experience advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks
