I think you have a serious rust problem!
Also, supporting the weight of the motor, trans & transfer case by the output shaft!

Not even remotely an issue. That is the only place you can support the back end of the drivetrain until you remove the skid. Doesn't hurt a thing. The lateral load under torque moving the rig forward places a far higher load on that shaft than the 250 lbs it is seeing in that pic. You can literally grab aholt of that yoke and bench press it up off of that stand if you aren't a wimp.

i'd estimate a 15% weight reduction on the frame based on material that's no longer present, not sure what that'd equate to over all. kick some of that floor out and you can get the average down more.

probably safer ways to go about it though.
