Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

What did you do to your TJ today?

I replaced my clockspring in my 2003 with one from Amazon ($50). It was for an 04-06 but I decided to give it a shot... the only issue, the airbag connector did NOT fit. Luckliy after removing some material with a utility knife I got it to fit snugly in my 03 airbag. Now my horn works & the airbag light is off.

Up next, thinking of buying a cheap smoke machine to attempt to fix P0455 large evap leak.

Oh, the points I rung up in NJ from speed traps... Like the moment you cross the bridge onto LBI and the speed limit drops from 50 to 25 in the space of a block (and to 15 after Memorial Day) Bastards all.

LBI= Long Beach Island. Yup... I lived in Colonia for 27 yrs and traveled Route 9 & 35 to get to Seaside Heights, Asbury Park & Belmar. The Jersey shore police are legend. They were/are brutal with their ticket writing ability and showed no mercy to Benny's. ( B- Brooklyn, E- Elizabeth, N- Newark, NY- New York )

Pushed it a little hard on the last trip and was having some noises in the front end. Being as one of the Dorman Rugged Duty joints failed I before the trip, I assumed one of the other joints could be an issue as well as one of the U-joints.

Can’t say how many times the tools below have come in handy for ball joints and U-joints.

Bonus! I have 2 new bushing to refurbish the YJ knuckles I have sitting around.

Saving the bearings and hubs for tomorrow evening. Always have to Google the Yukon instructions as I forget the specs.
Getting ready to do this on my 2002

I parked it after the minor 8-9" of snow. I miss VT and getting real snowfall amounts.

Come on up to Buffalo, we’ve had several multiple foot snowstorms this year. 10 years ago in my junior year of high school we got 7 feet 🥶

Our Grand Cherokee was born in 2012 and raised in San Antonio. Shortly after moving to GA, we had to go to Syracuse, NY, for our daughter. Trip wasn't bad, but it started snowing right after we got there (Dec 23), and I think it's still snowing. She had 4 or 5 ft in her yard when we left. Now I remember why we moved from KC to San Antonio 32 yrs ago!

I bought @John Cooper and @AndyG ducks, because they love them so much. I hadn't shipped them before they "got together".Both are motion sensor activated. Who knew someone actually used AFLAC.

When my dad was sick with Leukemia in 2005/2006, my mom’s employer had their employees all set up with AFLAC policies. At one point he got a check from them in the mail and had to do a double take, then ask my sister-in-law if he was reading that correctly. It was for many, many thousands of dollars. I couldn’t believe it and was in shock.

Started on something last night that I had seen here quite some time back (can't take credit for the idea). A dash bar for phone/go pro/whatever mount. I am not a fan of some of the options that sit in the cubby on the top of the dash. Just a personal preference. Made these quick brackets up and a friend is going to tig in a 1" bar between them for me. This will allow for a RAM mount to sit solid along with anything else I may decide to put up there in the future. Brackets will be cut lower than where they sit now once I set the tube in to see how low I can sit it with phone mount attached. Once I get the tube in, I will take it all out, clean up some edges, and paint with a color as close to the dash color as I can find.

I'm really liking this approach to creating your own bar mount & I can't wait to see the finished product.

Ordered a new Omix-ada windshield washer pump from Amazon today.... mine died.
Couldn't find a replacement one here in NZ even the 'universal fit' ones don't work for the Jeep....now I have to wait 2 weeks. Shipping was almost the same price as the tiny pump :(

Since we have had some decent weather I tried to take the jeep for a spin the other day. It wouldn't start, check engine light on. I ran the scanner and it came back with a bad cam shaft position sensor. Luckily my local O'reilly's had one in stock.

I put it in today.....annnnddd it works!! Now for some better weather again..LOL!

I was looking at the same ones when doing my double pump reservoir, the reviews seemed not the best so I used the ones from my parts 99.
