The Tuffy tailgate enclosure came today. A warning for anyone who has sound deadened the rear of their Jeep: apparently the enclosure is designed to be a pretty snug fit with just the factory carpet. So when you add in 2 layers of sound deadener, and a bedrug….. let’s just say I finally resorted to a rubber mallet and some swift kicks using the bottom of my shoe to get it to seat properly

Yeah, I’m still waiting on it to be delivered. I’m getting it keyed to match my current Tuffy center console key, so I’ll have one key for everything.

It was more like what TJ didn't do today. And that is not drip oil on my driveway. I spent all weekend replacing my valve cover, oil pan, rear main and rear transfercase output shaft seal

Made a roof mount out of 7/8" unistrut to hold a shovel and axe, or anything else I want to attached to it as needed. The quick fists I had dont quite hold tight enough so I'll come up with something else. I did cut down the u-bolts so they are flush. Holds tight on the bars.

Oh, anybody want a somewhat tweaked stock bumper? I'm transferring the pintle hook (and the rear fog lite) to the new one, but just in case somebody wants the bumper...

Installed a Cobra 29, gleaning a lot of great info from other posts. Using a 4ft Firestik. SRF calibrated less than 0.5 on channels 1 and 20, but around 1.5 on 40. So, more research!!View attachment 306280View attachment 306281

When I mounted the 2M antenna I used the hole for the third brake wiring as the mounting hole. I had already removed the factory third brake light and installed the circular LEDs inside the spare tire rim. This setup works great without drilling any new holes.

Picked my TJ up from the shop, took it for a nice test drive. Runs soooo much better without the 2 gallons of water in the gas tank.

I know Mt. Laguna can get some heavy rains.... and a decent amount of snow.

Does it bolt to the fenders like the factory one? I bought a factory one off of CL and had to install nutserts to bolt it to fenders.
