Finally got my hard top off the ground with left over lumber.
Was not aware of that configuration. I'll definitely change that. These are the pads @mrblaine sent with the disc conversion. Both outside pads have the indicators.
It won't hurt a thing the way you have them it's just that the rotor you have pictured is turning clockwise on the passenger side and as you can see the indicator is on the bottom and when it touches it will be dragged away from the pad and may or may not make much noise . Making a squealing noise is what it is intended to do , be sure to change both out side and in side as to have the two tabs lining up so they will slide right in.....I'm sure you know what I am talking about there.
Neat setup you configured there with the cable pushing the brake lever and I will be interested in knowing how well the end of the cable will hold up. I would keep an eye on it if I were you but my bet is it will be fine they are pretty tough and made to move around with the axle movement.
Cheers Will

View attachment 379509Weather was pretty good today so I rolled the chassis outside to go ahead and weld in the new motor mounts after finding out the engine hoist I borrowed from my buddy won't reach out far enough to lift the HEMI in the frame... So off to HF in the morning to pick up their 2 ton hoist that reaches out about 16-18 inches farther and a couple of inches higher.. As luck would have it, they are on Black Friday sale this weekend.
I'll have to figure out which motor mount goes on which side of the motor. The Advance Adapters instructions don't specify which side..that would be handy for them to spell that out for you since they will both bolt up on either side..
Would like to use a separate transmission cross member like what Nashville TJ used. Maybe he'll let me know what he used since I couldn't find where he got the kit he welded up for his in his build thread.

Man i haven’t seen a Sinclair sign in 50 years
The cross member was originally the Genright unit I used for from my old 4.0 - I modified it to fit the trans mount on the 545RFE. The detail is over on Jeep Forum where I detailed the build at the time. Post #1512. Here is the link:

@Daubie3, you should really start you own build thread. It's a great way to keep track of your build, and a very good way to get instant help on questions like this as your build progresses. Things like this get lost in this thread. I for one would love to follow along.
Thanks for rubbing the bottle, @Apparition.
Jeff
Jeff,
Thanks. I seen where you put it together on the previous link you sent me but didn't see where you had ordered it from.
I may do that, to be honest though just making a random post or replying to one is about the limit of my forum abilities. I've just never gotten real deep in any of them other than being that creepy stalker in the shadows..
I will look into doing that and see if I can figure it out.. Definitely don't want to do something wrong on a forum lest be chastised, and I have very thin skin and tend to cry a lot.
Thanks for your input and replys
Dan
Well, you can't be too much of a snowflake if you are running a Hemi...
(The LS guys are the real snowflakes)
That post you made above is perfect thread detail - the only difference is posting it in a thread you have started. I enjoy doing it and trust me, you will get a lot of helpful input. I've learned a lot here.
LS.....
As far as I know that stands for Lame Sissies..
@Mrs.Apparition would love to see that. Old cemeteries are her thing.
Here’s two old Church ruins near Beaufort, SC. The smaller stone structure is The Chapel of Ease which survived the Revolutionary War & the Civil War, but burned in a forest fire in the 1880s. The larger brick structure is the Old Sheldon Church which was burned in the Revolutionary War, rebuilt & burned again in the Civil War. Both churches are maintained as parks & both have graveyards (graveyards are located on church grounds while cemeteries are free standing burial grounds not on church grounds). The Old Sheldon Church has some more recent graves do, evidently, family members can still be buried there. They also have an outdoor church service there every year.
Both of these old ruins are breathtaking!
