What did you do to your TJ today?

I finished up my "mounts" refresh. M.O.R.E. 1" Motor Mount Lift, Genright body mount lift kit, all new bound mount bushings and hardware, and Savvy 1.25" body lift. I wasn't expecting to feel a difference, but I am shocked at how noticeable these updates are from the driver's seat. The Jeep feels tighter and more responsive now. I bought the highest-price torsion rubber version of the M.O.R.E motor lift mount and feel zero new vibration compared to the OEM motor mounts.

Existing bent OEM brackets, dry rotted body mounts, and sub 1" plastic puck lift.

This bracket and body mount were bent badly backward; I did some redneck engineering and used the winch to straighten the tub. It worked perfectly but had a pucker factor of 10.5 out of 10.

Finished Genright body mount lift install.

Savvy 1.25" lift pucks to replace the squished plastic pucks from before. Going from not quite 1" to 1.25" is a bigger change than I was expecting. Savvy pucks seem top-notch. I now have six extra if someone is in the market for a few of them...

M.O.R.E. 1" motor mount lift. The fan shroud was hitting the fan blades after installing the Genright body mount brackets, and the shroud was already down against the hose with no adjustment left. The previous owner had installed ~.6" plates under the OEM mounts, and the OEM mounts had degraded 1/8". Going to the 1" lifted mounts recentered the fan perfectly and I feel no new vibration so all is good.

What performance difference did it make?

Edit: Performance can increase by cooling the high IATs bc the PCM will pull less timing when the compressed air is cooler, but gains could be negated if the A/F ratio is too rich. I'll know more once I have the wideband hooked up and gain experience.

The turbo gives me all the power I need, so my first priority with the injection is to lower the intake temps to prevent detonation.

Stainless bolts and nylocks came in from Amazon. And a generic windshield sprayer. Next is power and air lines. Manifold I ordered is 1/2" x 1/4" and I didn't notice the check valve dialed it down to 3/8". Going to run air lines on passenger and driver sides...plus one under the hood.

Son's 01: PO had deleted the front side markers when installing the ugly LED headlights, so we untangled the wiring mess and added new ones back in.
My 97: when I bought my MasterTop 4 years ago (junk), the first time I pulled on the elastic straps that hold the rear window roll up, the snaps pulled through. We put in some new snaps, adding some old soft top material as backing so it doesn't happen again

I installed the B&M 45195 shift tower on my LJ, and now I'm going to have to start the tummy tuck because the shift lever hits the tub in the rearward gear positions (with the motor mount lifts in place.) I guess it's time to start a build thread because I now have lots to do to get this back on the road...

Trim the floor a little?

I got bored on Father’s Day so I found some rubberized undercoating spray and went to town on my Jeep. I sanded down the wiper arms and the front sway bar too. I ran out of undercoat so I’m heading to harbor freight to pick up some more. $7 a cam is about the cheapest I’ve found it anywhere so we’ll see how well it holds up. I’m no painter for sure but I do like the look so far
