What did you do to your TJ today?

Who daF**** lives in a HOA and has a TJ? :ROFLMAO:

Seriously, I couldn't do the HOA thing. I like my rolling hills, open fields, and nature.

Me, my POA is 50$/year and doesn't have the resources to harass me. It isn't too bad. I know that because I've had a stripped car chassis on my driveway with no wheels for over a year and no one has said anything 🤣

Pics or it didn't happen 🤣

My wife took pics. I told her I was embarrassed by how bad it looks by sitting. State inspection is due next month. 550 miles driven since the last inspection.:(

You are the reason we have HOAs! 🤣

Mine limits cars to two parking spaces. I had four, gave away one to my wife's kid. Neighbors get friends to give them their permits to park here. I can't have people towed because I don't own the unit. Renters have no rights.

Time to hang an engine block from a tree in the front yard and see how long before you get a nasty letter!

So I had a goal in mind about a week ago. I needed to replace the RMS again. Must've nicked it last time. This time I decided to remove the transmission and t case all the way to flywheel so my fat hands and fingers can get better access. So like almost all my projects on this tj things snowballed. Found a leak at the rear seal of the 3550 so that needed ordered. And I needed to address the situation involving the Atlas t case shifter boot. As I posted a few days ago I modified twinstick boot to orient the accordion portion of the boot 90* . Now I had to address the huge hole in the tranny hump for the 231 t case shifter. Ended up cutting the hole larger and cut a patch panel from the leftovers from the Genright fender conversion. Fit it, welded it and cut a new hole half the size of the old hole. Drilled it for the converted twinstick boot and painted both topside and bottom. Installed some nutserts and that's ready to go. Today was the genuine Mopar RMS. So much easier without the tranny and flywheel in the way. Oil pan button up with a genuine Mopar oil pan gasket and Stahlbus oil drain installed. As soon as the rear seal for the 3550 gets here I'll get everything else back together.

* The passenger door finally arrived. I installed the bitch.

Just don’t take it off and run it over….

Anybody know how to fix a tire crease in a passenger 1/2 door?

😂

I am sorry but I believe this is a forum infraction!!!!!!!

They are to be referred to as a gender neutral shifting device!!!!!

Tranny is racist or something like that.....

@AndyG will be getting in touch with you shortly :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I knew someone would get bitchy about the shortcuts in my post.🤣🤫

I've had the OEM top and a sailcloth RAT. IIRC the OEM top lasted till around 06-07, the Sailcloth was replaced in 14. Since then I've had a Twill Super top NX.

Both OEM and sailcloth tops failed above the doors where the plastic flaps tuck into the door surrounds. They were both up and down a lot in the changeable weather we get in the UK.

The OEM top tore at the end of each flap. The Sailcloth top layer came away from the inside layer of the top along the stitching across those tabs so what was holding the flaps on was very thin. The material was failing the same way along the plastic strips running along the rear side windows.

The Twill is a superb material. It's very supple, and showing no signs of failure after 11 years. Aside from the windows showing 11 years of scratches, and the top needing a good clean, the material is good as new.

If the TJ is a keeper, I'd look at the price difference of a Twill RAT compared to the Sailcloth.

Thanks for the write-up and review .
I’ve have my TJ 13 years…. With the same top. Not sure if it’s factory OEM or a replacement.
And BIG Thank you 🙄, after spending a year investigating, reading reports, looking at multiple pics , reviews and finally deciding that the sailcloth was for me …..I will have look at the twill now you’ve mentioned it.. 😂😂
I’m going to the States at the end of September and hoping to bring it back on the plane as hand luggage lol ..

After only starting it twice in over 2 months, I actually put gas in it, drove it to a nearby town 15 miles away and tried to make it look clean before parking it miles from my house because of HOA rules. :poop:

Do they not like the colour Red ? ( or even the COLOR Red) lol
I’m so glad we don’t have HOA down here
