What is a good replacement fog light?

Hey gang! “New” 2005 Wrangler X owner here. 145k miles, Patriot Blue, pure stock (less stereo). Looking forward to your info!

First Question; stock fog lights, I have none. But it had them factory (has factory switch on turn signal lever). Looks like stock connector hanging in the engine bay. Dash indicator light goes on and off at will, What’s a good replacement lamp assembly?

You can find the OEM sets pretty easy from part outs and it may save you some additional cash. I looked at the KC style but just didn’t like the logos over the assembly.

kc makes replacements that use factory plugs.

I'm all for the stock look. But, I'd recommend going with something better projecting on light output like LED and using something like this kit for watertight connectors.

Lot more options if you wire them up rather than try to fit the stock socket. IMHO

So I ended up going with the KC stock replacements. Now to get them working!

Stock connectors with the KC’s fit like a glove but I got nuthin’. Brand new relay, 20a fuse and zip. Fog light Dash indicator light stays on constantly, even when the key’s off.

That said, I found additional connectors running to the bumper (see pic). Wondering if a previous owner ran after markets at some point.

Any ideas?
