What are you guys using instead of a hi-lift? Looking to trim a few pounds and free up some room. Is there a good hyd bottle jack available?

Stock jack will handle up to 35" tires, do you have it? it is under the passenger seat
ARB has some kind of crazy jack. Looks great, but the price....
OEM Jack is great. Maybe get some extenders and carry something that may be a good base in the mud or something.

X2 and technically it could be used for up to a 37" tire.
This is my factory jack holding my 35" tire several inches up off the floor.
The stock jack is gone. Was not there when I bought it 2yrs ago. I put a Amp in its location.
When I am at my shop (garage), I use a forklift or floorjack to lift the Jeep. I am looking for some solution that can lift on uneven and perhaps rocky terrain. The hi-lift has done it's job well at least three times for lifting my own vehicle. It's main use has been straightening bent stuff. I have other ways of bending things on the trail, so the hi-lift is becoming obsolete.

I have a bottle jack to compliment my factory jack - but it could easily replace it. It works a little faster for when you’re out on the trail than cranking the factory one up!
The factory jack and bottle jacks work on rocky terrain too, I only wheel on rocks. I put my Hi-Lift jack into my backyard shed 16 years ago where it has sheltered a black widow spider or two.
I got my hi-lift out recently to break the beads on my Kawasaki Mule tires. I think that's the best use I've gotten from my hi-lift.
Oh- good for stretching barbed wire strands to fix a fence, too.
Add a base to the stock jack and call it done. Doesn't have to be this one, but something like it helps. I've been using an ARB version for more than 9 years now.

Reach out to @Goreshnik, he parts these out often and probably can get you set up with the Jack and any pieces your are missing to put it back in the OEM position.
The oe Jack looks to have a “slot” for the actuator tool. Has anyone built or modified one to fit a cordless drill?

Back when I got my first TJ I was about 20 or so and the highlift jack saved me plenty of times. But I realize I am in the miniority for recovering a vehicle. I suppose people have been severely injured by them. They can be quite useful when in a jam if used in the safest of possible manners. And they work awesome at pulling out of old fence posts with giant chunks of concrete are hanging off the end. I have heard them used as emergency jaws of life back in the day also.
It is absolutely excellent as a handle to open my tire swing. I also hang my daypack from it when the swing is open. I suppose I could find a lighter weight solution but it works so well I leave it.
