I get where you're coming from and I'm new so i could be wrong, but i really appreciate this place. I have chinese halo led headlights, one of the most frowned-upon things that exist around here but I'm not afraid to say it. I really feel like the people here will give you a hard time if you don't follow the paradigm, but it's all good. I think what happened in this thread was a guy who's been there, done that, fixed the problem for $3 at home depot was getting buried with $150 solutions. Nobody even considered he may be right. And while some of the more active/vocal members don't really like light bars (or halos) apparently he uses one.It is amazing how so many people say this forum is so friendly but then you turn around and people are saying throw lightbars in the garbage or swearing about them (this applies to other things also, not just lightbars). Maybe the new answer for everything should be put it in the trash or screw 'em.
Try the tape trick to isolate then go to the door edge to finalize.
I don't think I've ever seen a question answered with "use the search".
And it also isn't a free for all where everything gets a pass simply because it has been declared to be awesome.
...remember that there is always more than one way to skin a cat.
But, one person's awesome is another one's garbage. We do need to keep an open mind about things.
And, remember that there is always more than one way to skin a cat.
An open mind does not equate to a free for all. There are many ways to remove the skin from a cat. They don't all end the same way. Some things are objectively not awesome regardless of arguments to the contrary.![]()
You're my kind of guy.

I wish to make myself some cat pants. Is a weed whacker the best method to harvest the hides or is there a better way to accomplish what I need for this arts and crafts project?
If you're looking for a hide remover, you should just get a Cat-O-Matic with mil-spec anodizing and 4340 chromo blades, because it's the best. I bought one, and it's bad-ass, dude. I haven't used it yet.
Remove the light bar. My .02c.The PO of my 2000 Sahara installed a light bar on the top of the windshield. It works well and it looks good also. Problem is at highway speed there is a whistling sound that is so loud I have to turn the stereo up to drown it out. Does anyone else have this problem and has anyone found a fix for this?
Here is the problem with that. It is the equivalent to saying that your rear view mirror vibrates unless you tilt it down then it no longer shakes. Great, it doesn't shake any longer but the damn thing is useless. Light bars tend to work best when you angle them so the light is shined out in front of you, not up, not down, out in front and that is not a very wide adjustment. That is unless you are channeling Sundowner and you mean to angle it all the way into the trash can in which case, carry on.If it were me, I think I would try to adjust the angle. Seems to be the easiest and cheapest suggestion to try.![]()
I'm fairly fascinated with how you attempted to disguise your alternate gender lifestyle with a arts and crafts project instead of the more accurate wardrobe advice. Not that there's anything wrong with that.I wish to make myself some cat pants. BTW- which sneaky fucker sanitized the thread? It lacks a certain continuity.
