Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

have one. Brought it back when I first started this project and Blaine was offering advice.

After a ton of daughter pumping the brakes I finally got good fluid to the passenger rear brake. Tons of air came out too. Will let it sit overnight and test it in the morning.

I couldn’t get all the air out, without using that tool. It sounds like you are on the right path and almost there.

This hose is similar to what I used to have but it had a better fitting for the bleeder screw on the caliper.

And the hose wasn't as long. It was something I'd bought 30+ years ago and used it for many years. At this time it was a gimiky thing that most people didn't like.

I've got a GM/Chrysler style dual chamber master cylinder but with the PSC reservoir mount that adapters I'm seeing for it don't fit. I had to modify the one that came with that kit I just tried. But the bleeder was leaking out of the pump handle itself.

I sent Ryan @ FRP the data log from yesterday last night and I've already got a new tune back from him to try on the Jeep. He did notice some things and we discussed them. He did recommend that I don't use the Dorman crankshaft position sensor but should instead use a MoPar sensor so I've got one coming.

I’ve got the Motive bleeder and IIRC they do offer the cover for the GM style M/C.

It not only works very well, but I had no issues with the warning light thing either.

The Motive GM adapter is similar to the one that came with the bleeder I tried to use today. And even after clearancing it to fit around the PSC reservoir mount it would still leak. I was able once to get it to just trickle but it still leaked.

That GM adapter from MityVac looks like the best option. The other option would be to get a new cover and try to build my own.

It's tomorrow isn't it? Well not tomorrow morning but it is the AM....

I might have the brakes licked... Started the Jeep up and the brake light is no longer coming on. Once I get that JJ fixed tomorrow morning I'll take it for another road test and we'll see how it does. This might be it FOLKS...

I'm not going to assume or expect there won't be any other issues but that light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter.

HELL YEAH!

I also have this one and it's always worked for me.

If I could find a adapter that would work on my master cylinder with the PSC bracket I'd LOVE to use one of the pressurized bottles for bleeding my brakes..
Granted the bottle I just tried was a fail but that wouldn't stop me from trying another brand. It's the GM/Chrysler adapter that's kicking my ASS!!!!

I didn't get any shot of the adapter installed yesterday. My hands were covered in brake fluid.

I think that MityVac one I posted yesterday would work. Just have to decide if I want to spend the money on it or not.

OK tried the brakes again and I got the light on the first pump of the brake pedal but then it went out after that.

Had this pop up before and tried tightening the fuel cap. It's a aftermarket one so likely the problem. Might steal the one off the donor Jeep and see if it does the same thing.

Fixing to install the new FRP tune on the Jeep now.
Then fix the JJ and go for another road test.
How many videos of my road tests do ya'll want?

I've got some different DEI heat shielding coming tomorrow that I'm going to try out on the underneath side of the transmission tunnel. If it doesn't help enough with the heat I'm going to install some heat shielding on the inside of the Jeep.

Got the JJ repaired on the rig. Good trail repair experience. Meant that I didn't have to mess with the alignment of the joint on the lower link too.

Axle shifted on me once I pulled the bolt so had to use a little American ingenuity and strapped it to one of the anchor points on the floor.

All back together and getting ready for another road test. I want to try and wash some of the brake fluid off the underside of the Jeep first.
