Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

Chris told me the same thing about the light, but there could possibly be some way to get it on but not any easy simple solution.

I'm far from an electrician so I might not ever figure out an indicator light unless someone else does and I could copy what they did.

Well I "MIGHT" have figured it out.... Will know more in a few days. If I get it working I'll let you know and how to copy what I did.

Yeah, I'm not very concerned about if I get this light hooked up since if I can't remember or at the very least look down at the shifter and know what state the transfer case is in, I probably shouldn't be behind the wheel.. LOL

Mine is a little easier to KNOW since I have different shifters. I can mess with my shifters and most people wouldn't know how to get it back into gear to drive it. Well other than my knobs are inscribed. Take them off and put standard knobs on and people would be confused.
Put the middle shifter in Neutral & the Jeep won't go anywhere....

What was up with the cam/crank sensor codes? Did you just end up going into town to get replacements? I didn't see you mention the solution there.

Sounds great when you're hitting it... I thought that strap was gonna nail you in the face 😂

Yeah I am going to watching this too. I want to be able to lock out OD when towing to help the tranny a bit.
Wildman my 06 does not have a OD light in the dash, just the light on the factory switch when activated.

I ordered new ones and they'll be here early next week. Local dealership didn't have them & wanted $$$$$

That's right, I always forget about the dash switch & light.
 
Ain’t this remote tuning stuff fun? Carbs are cool but tuned EFI is the shit.

Yep, it is that's for sure. Sent Ryan my data loggin when I got back from the drive & he'd sent me another new tune before I went to bed. As long as I keep the codes clear it runs GREAT. Granted I still don' want to get too far from home with it until I know I've got this problem licked.
 
Since there's a chance of rain 🌧 today I'm doing the hood outside.
Layout the template for the Poison Spyder hood louvers and center punch the marked spots.

I'm thinking I'll take these vents off my old hood and put them on the new one. They're from GR.

Let me ask this of you'll smarter than me (which is most) when putting these vents on the sides which direction is better for the louvers?
Facing forward to suck the air in? Or Facing rearward like most louvers are? Best to ask NOW before I start cutting and drilling holes...

I'd orient them the same way as your hood louver.

My poison spyder and other full top louvers have the vents open on the back. Not forward like a hood scoop.

The one I have the two front sets of louvers are facing forward. The main ones in the middle are facing rearward.

Edit: yes the Poison Spyder hood louvers can only mount one way. What I was asking about is the GR louvers which could be mounted either direction.

Well I just figured I'd throw it out there.... and you're copying me. I had the GR louvers for a long time.. 😀

I've got a set that I can mount down on the sides too. But they're Silver and not Black.

Definitely vent toward the back. Smoother airflow I would think. And why ingest more water in a rainstorm? Does it rain in the PNW?

Finally got all the holes drilled and I was ready to do some cutting.

This air nibbler has got to be one of the better tools I've bought recently.

It made short work of cutting these holes.

The only spots it wouldn't work were on the upper holes where it was double metal thickness.
