Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

Success 🙌...

I knew that they were somewhere. They just weren't where they were supposed to be....

That's what happens when you organize... You never find it. You should always just lay them in the floor close to where you will need them..
At least it seems that's what I always end up doing and I find half of them on the other side of the shop.... LOL

Now let's get the fiberglass hood off so I can remove the hood pin latches and then get the steel hood mounted onto the Jeep so I can start the process of installing the hood pin latches on it.

You know if you just slam the hood a few times you'll get a pretty good witness mark where you'll need to drill the new pin holes.
I guess if you do it hard enough and enough times you'll get a really good tight fit...
Just saying... 😳🤪

Hood is on. The bolt plates in the hood were pretty rusty from sitting outside for 3 winters at my place and who knows how long at Olympic 4WD. So I broke out the anti-seize and coated each bolt prior to installing them.

Well I take a little less violent method. Put a dab of grease on each pin and it'll mark the location on the hood.

Then close the hood.

And boom you know where to drill at.

I bought them from @Chris .
They are Ciebe E2 from what's on the lens.

I thought so ..

I had those on my Scout II many years ago and wish I would taken the off before I sold it..
Those were probably the best headlights I've ever owned..

Just some useless information: The E2 marking is the European equivalent of our DOT rating.

Damn beautiful Scout. I owned one years ago too but it didn't look that nice.

Thanks for the information.

Dropped the mounting bracket down as far as possible. Could barely get a wrench in there and thank god for ratcheting wrenches.....

It's about an inch lower now.

Then I moved the oil catch can.

Which allows me to reroute the hoses in a better position.

The hood now closes fully with no issues.

So you might actually be human after all ..

I was beginning to wonder after some of the marathon like work sessions you put in.

Here I always felt I was slower than heck....

Now why would you go and accuse him of being something like that...

Hey watch it...

Well, I guess technically he could be classified as a Cyborg with his mechanical appendage..

Wouldn't I need a powered appendage to be Cyborg?

I'm pretty beat so you just might be wrong... My back is yelling at me and so is my leg. Too many hours standing.

Why do I feel like you won't wait till tomorrow to do the other side..??? 🤔🤔

So, I guess all it takes is a little "work shaming" to get the job done...

Wait,
Does that make me a cyber bully..??..?? 🤔
