Will RC quick disconnects suffice?

sup, so im getting very close to having my jeep regeared and im trying to get some disconnects in preparation for some trail riding, I was wondering if anyone has experience with the RC discos, I know RC stuff is crap but the jks discos are pretty expensive for just a sway bar link (don't even mention the Antirock, its WAY out of my price range) so for a trail rig on a budget will the RC discos suffice?

I had rc disconnects prior to my JKS, I had no issue with them. They were beat to snot and the bushings were done, reason I replaced. Functionality no issue, actually found them more forgiving when I needed to disconnect.

No problems with mine so far… I have wheeled disconnected a couple of times without incident… on road driving seems solid…

If you’re on a budget, it’s almost just as easy to whip out a torx socket and crescent wrench and disconnect em the way God intended. You don’t have to have quick disconnects to disconnect your sway bar.

Just did mine.

I did Zone Off-Road rather than add more RC stuff.

I had no experience with the RC discos but with all the trash talk about the RC products I tried to find something reasonably priced, good reviews and easy to work. I had other stuff I was getting from Zone so it made sense.

If they are the ones with the right angle ball and socket end at the top they last a year. You’ll have better luck with the ones that look the same on top and bottom.

I’ve had a pair for several years. They were on my rig and now on my sons. Bushings are a little butchered but they work fine. I bought a set for my daughters XJ too. They are more forgiving to disconnect than other brands as @Dunkut88TJ mentioned. Wouldn’t hesitate.

X2, that's how I did it for several years and it only takes a few minutes to do. I used zip ties to hold mine up, passing the zip-tie through the opening I'm pointing to with a screwdriver.

That would be an outstanding decision. Getting rid of that POS K&N would be the best thing you could do for your engine. By the way my "POS" stood for piece of shit, not to be confused with previous owner's.

This was one of the best improvements I made… quieted the motor down and gave it a burst of power from all the air it was getting!… I didn’t realize just how much dust and dirt that k&n was holding..

X2, if your stock connects are long enough. I did the $6 set for awhile until the stock bushings were too far gone.
