I personally haven't had this problem. But apparently , the post for the door latch is positioned in such a way that when you hop in/out of the TJ it tends to grab onto your belt loops.

I had that happen a few times with my LJ. Never tore a loop tho.

I lost a belt loop and tore some jeans up before I removed the stupid PO's running boards which made it harder to get in and out.

Yeah, I agree. The belt loop thing doesn't belong on the TJ list. Members of the jury, strike the belt loop comments from the record!
