well it finally got to us, 14" w/ drifts over 3' on the ground yesterday mornin. took me an hr and half with a shovel to clear the driveway and another hr and half to drive the 20 mi, usually 30 min ride into work..
top that off with yesterday was a holiday for city workers, so all them guys that been sittin on the corner in them big trucks doin not a GD thing but gettin paid since b4 Christmas...................leave the city in ruination because they gotta get that F'n holiday. last night @ 3am they finally come by (only cause we got a school at the end of the street) and plow and buried my apron under a 4ft tall 6ft wide wall of chunk snow. they completely buried my neighbors compact car that was pretty much already drift locked.
it's finally given in to cold temps daily, no more odd mild days until april, that kinda halts work outside until wkends that provide time to build up some heat out there.
i did take the 14B caliper brackets into the shop and got those cleaned up ready for paint. also got the truss about how i want it.
so i really feel like an idiot about these new bars that don't allow the top to fit, and i could have done something about that during construction and some rework to make it so, is likely coming next summer.
in the meantime, it's cold as balls with the back end wide open. i found a BT windjammer for 100$, in great shape, it's got a short top, the B bar panel with a good clear window, and back end toneau cover too. i can take and hang that B bar panel and hopefully keep some heat in the cab. i don't really want to be on the winter roads but the salt deposits dictate that, not the snow or cold.
been draggin my feet on this trailer. this wkend i have to push myself to put the jeep out and spend Sat and Sun gettin this frame together at least to a point i can move it back out, put the jeep back in, and repeat next wkend. if i had just 6" more roof height i could park the jeep on the frame and keep um both inside.
