My daughter was a senior at Purdue a couple years ago. She took a picture of the new sign on what used to be the women’s bathroom stating it was all genders or some such....Look Dad, WTF this was the Women’s room yesterday.
Some kids get it!
I agree but not 100%. Indoctrination by schools is so rampant it's not funny. In some areas the only option is to home school you kids. Schools in the bluest of states are literally turning kids against their parents.

Funny you should mention that. Math has changed so much since I was in school... My ex was taking a business management class, and her math course was having her do some weird shit to say the least, she finally enlisted the help of a husband of one of her hair clients, who happens to be a mathematical engineer, and he couldn't make sense of what the teacher/professor was demanding be done to find the answers. He told my ex that not only is the teacher making things 10 times harder than they need to be, but approximately 25% of the time the conclusions to the problems were not completely accurate the way the teacher wanted them done (Margin of error). He said "common core" is dumbing down people who use it.

I witnessed this in my daughter’s second grade math (which was also her last year in a formal school). It quite literally drags out the simplest math problems into several unnecessary steps.
We’ve been homeschooling for a few years now and the curriculum we went with is decades old and fairly rigorous in that it builds on itself and has lots of repetition in the basics. We’ve been very pleased with it and my kid has gotten to be fairly proficient in her math skills.
But why have the parents changed?
.... answer is trusting central authority to raise their children while they get "financial and spiritual" freedom to pursue their personal pursuits. In other words the results of the "cultural revolution" (not necessarily a bad thing) mixed with the government becoming the financial and cultural parent.
I agree with you more often than not, but this time we disagree. ( I think?) The parents have changed part is spot on, which is my point. Kids are a reflection of their parents, todays parents are spineless and feel they must be accepted. Hard work does have rewards, but that sentiment has been lost.
My point is that the kids are being raised by the state and they reflect those values. The parents are absent in comparison to previous generations. I think we agree. The Parents welcome the state as a co-parent.
