Exactly. On the surface of it, this is no different than clowning. If it turns into more, than I have a problem with it. And that goes with anyone/everyone.
Although I am surprised that feminists (and women in general) are okay with it. It is the appropriation of womanhood in a caricature sort of way.
There are women who certainly do NOT like the fact that I exist as a male Belly Dancer. Most are very supportive, some are not. Then again, I'm not a caricature of anything. *shrug*
For sure. There's a - definitively not family friendly - adult bingo held at a brewery up the road from me every other week that is hosted by a drag queen. I stumbled upon it one day, stayed because I was like "what the hell?" but the jokes got pretty bad and I don't think anyone wasn't laughing by the end of it. There's definitely a time and a place for that kind of thing.
... and that place has no children present.
I heard OJ was going to take a stab at being their spokesman.
