What did you do to your TJ today?

You are very welcome. BTW- Day trips or multi-day for tuna and whatnot? Point Loma?

Multi day trips, vagabond, red rooster lll, top gun, are a few I’ve been on.

Thanks bud, I have to say even my wife noticed the difference in the ride quality between the Rubicon and my old Sport.

I also changed the oil today!!!!!

Tammy liked it better than any of the others I’ve had as well.

I’m really proud to see you have it John. You know what it is, how I tried hard to restore it to good function and appreciate it.

I share the same sentiment on the RS5000X. The fronts felt fine on my last Jeep but the rears still felt way too stiff. When I had people in the back seat the rears felt really really good but we’re talking about 350lbs of extra weight.

My rears bottom out but my fronts feel fine… is it shocks or 16 year old rear springs?

One of my all time favorite experiences was a 6 pack charter 6 day on the Kanani Kai (58' Hatteras) to Guadalupe Island. Great skipper, great deckhand, very good cook. Put us on fish and kept us there.

Got lucky at a pick your part junkyard that rarely gets Wranglers and they are usually just YJs. This time they had a fire damaged TJ with lots of aftermarket goodies that was just put in the yard Friday so there was still plenty to get. Got a full set of tub armor, Fishbone fenders, steal fender flares, a 4 position switch bezel, and a stainless steal gas filler bezel for $140. Took me awhile to figure out the black rectangle was the air box. I am planning to go back and grab the incredibly clean frame.

Guadalupe is a amazing place. I went there on the American Angler during an 8 day. The sharks were unbelievable. We lost half our fish to the sharks. We had 7 to 9 sharks on us all the time. Fantastic fishing and scenery.

Put the hardtop back on, not having a heater and low 30's in the morning just isn't any fun.
Installed the Poison Spyder windshield pillar fog light brackets, I'll get around to installing the fog lights (4" QT LEDs) another time.
Was planning on doing the Savvy TC shifter but tweaked my knee yesterday and just couldn't muster the motivation

Make sure the loom is secured and can't get fouled in the shift lever when it moves.

I did work on that quite a bit, the worry I have is the zip tie to the transmission cooling line. I’m concerned it will be too hot for the wire loom and the temperature sensor wire. I’ll watch it to see if it’s a problem.

Yup, put my hard top back on today as well. Give me a shout next weekend, I'm happy to give you a hand with your cable shifter and body lift. BTW you up for going on the Denver Creek run next weekend?
