Am I getting Rubi-conned?

It has 33 inch BFG all terrains from 2009, before the KO2’s I believe. I am hoping to stay with those and just put KO2’s on it. I am waiting to see if

I see everyone else is commenting on the parts, but I see they omitted labor off the estimate. I see front and rear track bars but only labor for one maybe they used the drag link labor for the track bar. I see labor to replace control arm bushings but no parts. Is this for the bushings in the front axle? Labor for a power steering hose but no part or fluid.

agree with all. labor doesn't seem rediculous. I just can't get behind any tech or business that recommendeds dual steering stabilizers and claims to be experts. Maybe the skyjacker stuff is priced above currie market price to make up for the labor rate.

I went and checked the price of all the parts they quote and they are really close to what I can buy them for on Quadratec or other sites. The reason he told me that he is using higher priced parts is that they are fully serviceable with grease and rebuild possibility. Not sure why they are pushing skyjacker, but my guess is they get a good discount on them and it does make for a better profit margin. They also told me they won’t warranty any work that isn’t on parts they install, which is pretty standard.

I am fine with the current 33’s,
I would actually love to get to this look.

This is a Jeep I was going to buy for my wife (auto). It had 33s and 3" ($500) lift. Super clean, until I stuck my fingers in the frame holes. The frame was filled 1" deep with rust flakes. :( Some unknowing guy bought it the next day for $12,000.

Wow… well even with the issues I am having, I think I got a great jeep. The carfax shows a real history of mileage to prove its really 40K (unless it was towed or speedo disconnected) and a lot of service history. My biggest fear was rust as well, and so I had it checked and then I checked in holes etc when I picked it up. Its actually in pretty great shape under there, plus it has been vinyl wrapped for a good portion of its life, so the paint was a question for me. It turned out it was in great shape, just a LOT of work to get it off and glue cleaned up.

Sounds like you did, and just have a few things to work out. I bought my current Jeep from a retired military guy that recently moved here from Texas. He had every service record from day one. Even had the window sticker. I got lucky and his wife wanted a new BMW, so he had to sell it. ($9500)

You win…

What I have not seen mentioned is current lift but you said 33s so let’s assume springs shocks are correct for that tire size. Not saying this is what I would do but gives you good reference point.

This kit linked below is top of line parts and covers all parts in list I believe other than rear trac bar and steering stabilizer. As said no reason spend lot on stabilizer. Kit has rear trac bar relocation which should make stock usable. Also replaces all control arms instead of just some. So even if didn’t want to go full send on kit like this think can see how can move to much better parts and be in ballpark of that quote.

I don't know where you live in Charlotte, but this guy is honest in Waxhaw.

Tell him a friend of the late Mayo and Standing sent you.

I called him… Brian I think. He told me he would look for the normal suspects and if he couldn’t find it he would put on a double shock stabilizer and I would never see the problem again. Its really hard for me to argue with a man whose job is to fix cars and trucks for a living as I work in software, but it sounded like exactly what everyone else said not to do. I will maybe go get a second opinion from them next week.

Would you suggest I give him the list from the other guy, or let him come up with his own?
