Well, front end is much better. One sway bar link was toast, not just a blown boot.
Was able to wrangle the front springs out for new bump stops without disconnecting anything except the sway bar and shocks. Pulled out a set of spring spacers at the same time, only planning on running 31s...
New shocks up front made a night and day difference, but this what we were coming from...

I did both.
I'm going to give the rears another weekend to marinate...
I sprayed the bolts for all 4 shocks for 3-4 days with 50:50 acetone:ATF-4 before attempting their replacement. Dropped the gas tank as well. Went like buttah
Much as I'd like to drop a $300 AGM battery in here, this isn't my daily driver and I don't have any power hungry accessories (winch, amp, etc). $99 Costco Group 34 battery with 800 CCA for the win!

Oil change time…gonna try this new to me Liqui moly engine flush… just hope it doesn’t flush out any gunk holding any leaks in

No not really… it’s more preventative medicine…
I usually do a flush every second oil change but never used this stuff before

Changed the oil, greased all the zerks.
Cut its head off and leave it lying in plain sight it make a tiny noose and hang it. You should never be ducked again!!!

Better yet, put the severed head on your antenna.
I surely miss those nights in the Oregon back country. Think I may have traveled every logging road between Clackamas and Manzanita.

Finished the oil change and that new engine flush seemed to do the job. The old oil did seem a little blacker than usual.
Went down the shops to pick up some stuff last night got back and suddenly realised that my cheap magnetic torch had gone along for the ride
….. I’m actually surprised it didn’t fall off haha
