What did you do to your TJ today?

took it to the car wash and hosed off as much mud as I could from yesterday, quite a bit harder to do with the top off

I may need to hire a professional ( @Jamison C ) to strip out my interior for a spring cleaning.

I just wanted to give you an update and say that I owe you multiple beers!
You prompted the purge solenoid in Jan. I replaced it and here in May i've had no hard starting or rough idle after start up after the engine is hot from driving.

You are spot on correct on your diagnosis of my troubles.

Thanks for checking back in! I'm glad you found the remedy. I've owned several Subarus for daily drivers over the years. My current one is 25 years old and is approaching 400,000 miles. The purge solenoids fail so often on Subarus, I know exactly what to do when it starts getting hard to start after filling up...

A few weekends ago, I installed the Savvy body lift, motor mount lift and transfer case cable. In the process of doing so, I made a mess of my oil pan. I needed to replace it, so this weekend I replaced it, as well as the rear main seal and the oil pan gasket. I also discovered that when the PO had the abominable Rubicon Express long arm lift installed, the exhaust was welded in place. I had to cut it out. Next weekend will be exhaust 2.0, prior to exhaust 3.0. I have to cobble it together, but I'll be redoing it again after the mid-arm installation. Did I mention how much I love doing stuff when I know I have to re-do it later?

I spent time on the one side that broke, it was a process! They came on the Jeep which I got out of the PNW- which I would have done too I think. I will remove the other side some Quiet evening.
Not a tough choice at all.
Getting all of that adhesive off will be the toughest part.

BTW, I also had 1 break, so now we have none.

Tried my blower motor out and it made a hell of a noise so I pulled it back out to find that it was about 1/4 taller than the stock one so it was rubbing inside the hole where it’s mounted. I got creative since it’s long past a return and used my grinder and a flap disc lol shaved off about a 1/4” and then cleaned it up with my pocket knife. Reinstalled and it no longer rubs anything but still only have high speed. Guess I’ll have to do some more troubleshooting on that.

Got back to my dog and my rig today.

Dog got attacked by a coyote who luckily ran away after I yelled at it like a psycho. It rolled her but she seems ok.

I found a hole torn into the cover of my Jeep tonight. The interior was filled with rat shit/piss. Lots of it and I wasn’t happy. I’ll be doing a more extensive cleaning job tomorrow and praying I don’t find any more surprises.

Blower resistor or the switch.

Blower resistor or the switch.

I’ve replaced both of them along with the pigtail for the resistor. The new switch only worked on one speed too. Now that I have a new blower I’ll have to get out my multimeter and check it all out again. I replaced the resistor and pigtail a couple years back and then bought a switch from Amazon or eBay so maybe not the best option but finding one for a 97 is harder than some years

Don't the vacuum hoses have something to do with the blower motor speeds?

Thats odd a single coyote would do that?

Might want to take the seats out so you can really get at em with a carpet cleaner and odor neutralizer
