Does the WranglerFix PCM work with DRB III? I.e. is it running factory firmware? SKIS/SKIM can be added via DRB III the same way as an OEM unit for example?

Thanks, Andy

We've done several SKIM additions and pairing an existing SKIM to the new PCM with the DRB.

I have an 05 LJ 6 speed. Throwing codes p0031, p0051, and p0057 all are some form of o2 sensor codes. I’m having a hard time Getting the o2 sensors out to test to see if thats my problem. But currently the Jeep will run for sometimes 3 minutes and sometimes longer. But it will randomly just bog out and die with no response from the throttle to try and keep it going.
should i be leaning more towards a PCM issue?

That sounds a lot like what mine did, if it runs fine until it heats up then it's going to closed loop mode (where it uses the sensor inputs) and fails. If you don't know the ages of the O2s though, that's a cheap thing to test.

I pulled my whole wiring harness to check for any shorted wires before finding I could just poke the PCM and get it to stall. Ended up being the PCM.

I'd work on getting those sensors out and replaced before considering the PCM. I assume they are just rusted in place? Have you tried hitting them with Kroil? Do you have an O2 remover socket?

Good morning,

The three main faults of a manual pcm are o2 sensors showing bad when good, loss of gauges and stalling while driving. Are you experiencing any of the other two symptoms?

The Jeep isn’t on the road currently. I bought it as a project like this, so the only stalling i get is just from idling and dying eventually. ill have to check what my gauges do when it dies.

Mine would lose gauges without dying, and sometimes with (but it was all gauges - not just the tach).

@Scarter44 Get the Jeep up to operating temperature and tap on the pcm with a screwdriver handle. The Jeep will sometimes sputter or stall.

If i tap on the middle plug it sputters and will die if i tap it with a little more force. Nothing while tapping on the actual metal on the pcm

Thinking I need a new PCM for my auto 05 rubicon. Owned the Jeep for about 10 years, its always had a hard shift from 1st-2nd gear on cold start. I can avoid pause on the accelerator for a second.

Lately been noticing some stalls and bucking (once every few weeks). Guessing its time for a new PCM?

@limitz Our PCM solves the hard shift issue, rough idle, poor gas mileage and improved throttle response! You can call me to discuss in further detail.

Thanks,
