Fairly new to Jeeps so wasn't aware this was an issue. I was fortunate in that mine were in pretty decent shape when I did my cooling system, so reuse was an option.

Don't worry about it - even experienced mechanics make mistakes. Goddess knows I do all the time with all sorts of things, not just automotive stuff. Its called "learning". The good news is that you'll NEVER do that again!

Swapped in new Moog control arms. Not too bad all said. Had a bit of trouble getting the front upper arms installed, but nothing terrible with some help from a bottle jack and a 16" prybar. Got the uppers torqued and realized I need a bigger torque wrench for the lowers. So I get to order a new tool! Woo-hoo! Excited to test drive it soon.

Just to be clear, that was "wrench party" not "wench party". I'm a bit new here and don't know the audience that well yet (although I have made some assumptions

Well that is good news. It would be great news if you included what you actually ended up doing to succeed.
And if hitting the drag link in the direction of the green arrow CMBD posted is what broke it free, did you hear a nice "ring" sound when it popped loose? I'm not sure if there's a name for that sound but it's what I would expect to hear.

Ha! It is a nice garage. 2.5 car garage with 1 bay for a car, 1 bay for woodworking equipment, and 0.5 bay for general storage. Seriously, that 0.5 bay really makes a huge difference.
I ended up using the arm puller tool in the pic. I also banged the hell out of the drag link, but the thing that made it pop out was the arm puller.
BTW, I had to put so much pressure on the arm puller that one of the short "fingertips" actually bent.
