If somebody is looking to start a little business, I'll buy a grill overlay from ya!

I’m not looking to start a business if he decided I can pay the shipping for it. I just would like one for myself in the future. I’m not at the stage yet. I have a ton of parts I want to buy first . Plus I would have to pay someone to make it and I don’t know how much that will be.

The mold for the CJ/JL-Style Grille Overlay and the MOPAR frame crossmember have found new homes.

——

The molds for the Cool Cowl are still available. $300 including the right to make Cool Cowls for sale.

CoolCowlMolds.jpg

Also the Cool Cowl master has to go. It was used once to make the mold and shows some signs of stress but any imperfections can easily be corrected and it can be used to make more molds. It can't be used on a Jeep because the raised section is a solid block of wood, but anything goes with a mold master as long as it replicates the part to be made in the final mold. Also I've got a factory cowl panel if anyone needs a replacement or wants one to modify:

CoolCowlMaster.jpg

——

I do have one more "experimental" Cool Cowl, not sure if anyone would want this. It was the beginning of an experimental side-port version which could simply support cold air intake from the side without a prefilter on top or support a snorkel, these are concept images:

SidePortConcepts.jpg

I molded the parts but never finished the concept to the point where it could be tested. The parts were made in the Cool Cowl mold with the top port taped off so if this were to be used as a side port there's a little bodywork to be done where the top port was taped off; there are a couple of other minor surface imperfections that could use a little bodywork as well. Also I never bonded the ductwork to the underside so if that were to be used that would need to be 'glassed or epoxied in place. If someone wanted to use it as a "normal" Cool Cowl with a prefilter on top, this port connector could be bolted to the top to mount the prefilter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C9LB9461/?tag=wranglerorg-20

SidePortCoolCowl.jpg

If anyone is interested in this version as-is, contact me and make me an offer.

——

Nobody expressed interest in the TJ Commando hood or the Hurst Commando scoop so those will be disposed when I get back from my upcoming Colorado trail expedition. The molds for those was disposed of several months ago, so the remaining parts are the only ones that will ever be made.

——

The Auxbeam RGB Halo headlights are still available. (https://auxbeam.com/products/qp000081) They're 7” LED headlights with rotating LED halos and Bluetooth RGB control – the halo ring on these consists of RGB LEDs that can be set to any color, and animation controlled by the smartphone that can add a rotating effect to the halo. Currently on the Auxbeam web site for $129.99, you can have them for $70. a workbench demo... the colors are more intense than the camera makes them seem.

——

I've got a bunch of JK/JKU stuff I'll be getting rid over the next few weeks but I won't waste space in this forum for those. I also have some more TJ stuff to get rid of that I'll work on getting posted after I return from Colorado, including the mold masters for the CJ Grille Kit.

Do you have any Jerry can trays left?

All of the jerry can trays I posted earlier in this thread have been sold, I have one left that I was going to keep but you can have it for $25. If you send me your address I can tell you what it'll cost to ship, or you can figure it yourself - 16" x 10" x 6", 5 lbs.

I’ll PM you.

I’m interested in one of the cool cowls as well as one of the switch panels if you have them. Sending a pm now.

Apologies to the several people who messaged me about items in this thread in the past week, I've been on a Colorado trail expedition and somewhat out of touch. I won't bore you too much with details of the trip but I did about 175 miles off-pavement, including going overland from Salida to Ouray (except one section where there is no trail) plus a number of other trails; the photo below was taken at Hurricane Pass (12,700 ft. elev.) on Saturday.

HurricanePassSnow.jpg

But I'm back in civilization now so time to clear out some more stuff. Downsizing is more important now because just as I was leaving on the trip we made an offer on a new home several states away from where we live now; the offer was accepted so downsizing now has a real purpose - getting rid of things we don't want to move :).

I haven't dug these next items out of storage yet but since there's almost no interest in making fiberglass parts maybe there won't be any interest in these either...

- Mold masters for the CJ Grille Kit. Includes hood, inner and outer fenders and cowl panel. (The kit uses a factory CJ grille). These are the custom master parts I used to make the molds for the kit. These masters can be used to make another set of molds, and the resulting molds could be used to make any number of CJ Grille Kits. The kit has been installed on my LJ for going on ten years - over 100,000 road miles and thousands of trail miles are on it and it's still solid and still looks great. I'm keeping the molds in case I ever need to make replacement parts for my Jeep, but as I said the mold masters could be used to make new molds and maybe start a business.

And still available: the molds and mold master for the Cool Cowl; the Auxbeam Bluetooth RGB Headlights; the TJ Commando Hood and Hurst Commando Hood Scoop. Most everything else that was listed in this thread has been sold or trashed.

I also have molds for both my Jeep-tub trailer kit and and my military replica (M100/M416) trailer kit that I'll probably not want to bring to the new house. I've also got a bunch of TJ parts (body and mechanical) that I need to go through and decide about. For example, a set of TJ hard doors.

Anyone interested in any of the above can contact me. Definitely not going to move any of the above to the new place.

Would love to know more about the trailer kit molds.
I am looking seriously at either a Dinoot or Tentrax.

You’re close enough to me that I could make a roadtrip and do some camping before/after.

The hard doors.. as in half doors? I’m going out tomorrow to look at a set. Tell me more please.

Color of hard doors?

I forget the actual color, teal or light green, but they're not red (I see your Jeep is red). They're in my storage unit and I haven't seen them in some years, I'll take a photo and post it tomorrow.

They are full doors. I also have a set of half doors with both soft uppers and hard uppers, but they're painted to match my LJ and I occasionally use them on the LJ so I'll probably keep those.

Funny you mention Tentrax, I'm attending the Tentrax Owners Weekend in Uwharrie National Forest this coming weekend (https://www.tentrax.com/tow-2023). I've been doing some design work for Tentrax - accessories for their trailers, and they've asked me to do a talk and demo to the attendees on the new and upcoming accessories for Tentrax trailers and present some other potential accessory ideas to get their input. Some of the accessories are hardware that I've arranged for MORryde to manufacture for them and some are fabric that I've arranged for Overland Outfitters to manufacture for them. Should be a fun weekend.

As for what trailer stuff I've got, both the Jeep tub and military replica trailer kit molds I have became the Dinoot trailers - Dinoot licensed the designs from me and I gave them the mold masters so they could make their production molds. I've still got my molds, one set makes the Jeep-tub trailer kit and the other set makes the military replica.

This is my military replica trailer out of those molds. I also have the mold for the lid, which Dinoot decided not to put in production. I might be willing to sell this trailer for the right price, I don't use it very often.

WithRetro3_zps6c77f0f3.jpg

The hard lid has lift-off hinges like those on Jeep doors and it can be swapped for this "covered wagon" top...

TopView_zpsxvpigqqv.jpg

And this is the prototype Jeep-tub trailer out of my molds. It's a short version; the molds are capable of making trailers up to 8' long.

Overland1_ag8GjN29EkxMzzRAfYqWHa.jpg

I also have a set of Jeep-tub trailer kit parts made by Dinoot that I probably don't need anymore; this set is their "Extended" model (6'6" long) plus a set of 11" extensions I made in my mold to result in a tub that's 7'5" long.

ExtendedDinootExtended1.jpg

Why did I do the extensions and make it 7'5" long I hear you wondering? That makes the tub the same length as my metal Jeep-tub trailer; I used the fiberglass tub in my basement workshop when building the Safari Cab based topper for it because it was winter, I didn't want to work in the garage and I couldn't get the trailer in the basement :).

SidesAndWindows2.jpg

FirstRun4.jpg

I've also got this unfinished proof-of-concept teardrop topper that fits on the 7'5" Jeep-tub trailer but since nobody has a 7'5" trailer t put it on I'll probably just toss it.

RTTTest5_zps2b056307.jpg

Is this ^^^^ strong enough to hold a RTT?

This is what I am looking for ^^^.

But the teardrop would be a bonus. I don't need to tote a lot of gear. I basically just a wee bit more than what I would take when backpacking. A TGTT (Tailgate Tire Table), portable-loo, Jackery, single burner propane stove and a cooler.. otherwise, it's my basic backpacking kit. However, most of the spots I can get to hear on LI require that the unit be self-contained so being able to actually get in would be great.

Even strong enough to hold an RTT while the lid is open:

An RTT on this one too...

Such impressive work. I'm still interested in that flame-red cool cowl if it doesn't work out with other buyer.

All of the Cool Cowls I had have been sold, sorry.

There have been more people interested in the Cool Cowl than the number of Cool Cowls I had, so maybe it's a business opportunity for someone, I do still have the Cool Cowl molds and mold master available if someone wanted to either mold one for themselves, go into business and mold some for sale, or perhaps even arrange a Cool Cowl group by for forum members.

——-

Back to the trailer topic, I've had a few questions about whether I'll be selling either of my trailers. I've decided to offer the military replica trailer for sale. As I said in my earlier post, it's the prototype for the DInoot M-Series kit. I will sell it with three toppers - the two shown in the earlier post (hard lid and covered wagon top) plus a soft tonneau cover. I also have rounded M100-style wide fenders I would offer for an additional price.
