Water in engine bay

Remember the ECU filled with oil...pumped out of a bad pressure sensor, through the ECU loom.

Water finds it's way into the strangest of places through some very random paths.

What are you seeing to indicate water in the oil? Is it milky? Condensation in the cap?

a separation between the oil and the water and also a puddle of water on top of the engine kinda just put two and two together, i know the smell of coolant and it doesn’t smell like it at all
 
@Camerxn , post a pic of what you’re seeing concerning water in your oil.

From the dipstick, through the valve cover hole where the fill cap goes or what ever it is your seeing to come to this conclusion. There’s a lot of experience here that can help with the proper clues.
 
If you have water in your oil it will turn your dipstick check into a chocolate milky appearance. Can you answer if you’ve checked your oil and seen pretty oil color on your dipstick or a delicious chocolate milky looking oil? You gotta help us out a bit here.

The oil is only 300 Miles maybe, i ran the jeep not realizing it had water in the oil and i’m guessing they mixed now but the dipstick should be no where near where it’s at
 
I can't imagine enough water getting in through any of those places enough to raise the oil level that much but not causing it to be milky. If that much water was in there, you would know.

it ran like crap, plus gave me a nice flashing engine light it only made it around a block for me to realize

It would likely do that even with that much oil. The engine has to work harder to overcome the resistance of the liquid.

Who did the oil change? How much oil? What weight?

i did the oil change 5 quarts i had an extra quart for it when the levels went down on the dipstick. 10w 30 high mileage
 
If you have that much rain water getting in your engine you need to buy a lottery ticket and this will be the only time I will ever say "you need a snorkel"
 
Oil will float on top of water. If you're seeing clear liquids on the dipstick that aren't oil, I'm not 100% sure it would be water. Try pulling the oil drain plug and see what comes out first. If it's oil, then something else is going on. If there's a lot of water in the engine, it will come out first, followed by oil.

Once the engine has been run for a while with water in the oil, the agitation and the heat will cause the two to react and turn into a white or brown sludge. Sometimes it will even solidify into a jello-like nastiness. If this happens, a solvent flush of the entire oil system is required. For small amounts, a solvent like Seafoam in some cheap new oil will work. For larger amounts of sludge, this usually requires pulling the valve cover and oil pan (sometimes even the head itself) and cleaning out everything by hand first.

It is also possible to get gasoline mixed in the oil if one or more piston rings are sufficiently bad. This will cause the oil to reek of gasoline, and will dilute it, usually making it thinner, runny, and clearer, though it can also soot it up very fast depending on how burnt the fuel is. Bad piston rings usually require an engine rebuild to solve.

If it is rainwater, check out all the gaskets (especially the valve cover gasket, rear main seal, dipstick o-ring, and crankshaft seal) and also make sure the intake isn't leaking. The air box has a small drain hole in it under the filter; make sure it isn't plugged up with debris or a dead mouse.

i have a rear main seal leak, could it by that?
 

I’m having trouble telling by your picture where the separation is from the water and oil. Is the water below or on top of the oil? Does it smell like fuel? I would drain into a clean pan, if it is water it should come out first from the drain plug. Fuel would be on top.
If it is fuel I would suspect an injector which would make sense with the flashing check engine light.

gas was full when this happened, it’s still full as of right now
 
Did you check which code your CEL is? That’s your “check engine light”.

You can check it yourself by quickly turning the ignition on and off three times, stopping on the third time to the on position, then looking at the odometer where the “P” code or codes will be displayed.

Let us know what what you find, that’ll help us help you figure out what’s going on.

The gauge will not show that small amount if it fuel. You prolly need to drain the oil to try and identify what is in the engine.
One more question I have is if this only happens when it rains, what did you do last time it rained to fix this?
