What did you do to your TJ today?

How do you guys find such good deals? Never in the history of forever would there be a pair of TJ fenders for that price around here.

In fairness, these were from someone I know/a friend of a friend. He's had them sitting around for a few years and offered to get rid of them a couple of months ago. Just got around to picking them up this weekend.

( prepare to read my bad ways of writing stuff😆 )
Welp y'all i cant really show what i did to my jeep but i tuned it and unless yall want a pic of my timing tables and ECT. on HpTuners i can snap a pic when i get around to my buddies laptop again !
But anyways i added timing where it needed it since stock is super and i mean super conservative so the timing at redline was in the 20's now its set to 31 i could've gone close to 36 but ill see how my jeep reacts to this timing i have set once we're in the hot Texas weather as far as detonation and pinging goes as well i raised my rev Limiter to 5,500 which allows my jeep (has a 42rle) to actually shift at 5k as before it was more like 4700 ish
But now in the freeway she hooks and books, As before it would just bog down and not really accelerate but now when i mash the throttle it just locks up and wants to go and it goes alright :D ! And same from a launch it does better than before too but accelerating from a slight roll can now put me back in my seat at full throttle
Overall im very happy with how my jeep is performing and driving except that for some reason my 02 sensors aren't reading much from what i see on HPTuners with the "LTFuelTrim" reading but my AFR's should be at 15.1(cause it was) which is a bit lean for me but the jeep is happy.....very happy there at that AFR near/at redline.
As far as the AFRs go on HpTuners not working i will say that im sure its my fault since i was messing with the idle and it was running super rich, low rpm, timing was retarded by alot since i wanted my jeep to chop and which it was but i returned it back to where it was after realizing i messed up my 02 sensors from doing so.....Oh well the more i learned 🙃

I think I IDed the next transmission leak. Here is a pic. I am seeing a lot of red transmission fluid around this area. Whenever I spray it off with brake cleaner, the flow pattern of the brake cleaner matches the flow pattern of where I'm seeing the transmission fluid leaking.

So, what is this area and how do I fix it?

That’s your selector shaft seal. It’s not that hard to do, I have a write up in the how to section.

Most people remove the valve body but for my money, that only adds steps and still doesn’t make the hardest step (driving in the new seal) any easier. My write up is how to do it without removing the VB.

Shite, I am still in short sleeves and shorts.

Isn't that year round attire?

Worked on the Jeep most of the day and went mostly sideways.

The double din install keeps hitting speedbumps. I had to cut down a couple uclips to fit the dash.

I have not installed the shift bezel or handle after the console repaint. It makes it a real pain to shift. I got a bulb for the shifter today and when I went to install it, the housing broke. I superglued the housing back together and cut a strip of material and super glued it to the housing.

The HVAC wiring keeps falling off, so tomorrow that's another project.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm still waiting to see if it really is that or not. I have a paper towel wrapped around it to check for leakage.

EDIT: I waited a couple of hours, and yeah, the shop towel wrapped around the shift shaft is showing some red on it.
