What tires are you running?

I had those on my Ram and Discount tire couldn't balance them after 4 tries they swapped all of the tires completely with brand new ones, then after 3 more tries they finally put on some Nitto's. They finally smoothed out. I am a little gun shy with the Coopers now. I do admit they are nice looking tires.

I am seriously surprised you are getting a good ride because of the load rating. Those are a D tire right?
Even the Nitto's are C on my 1/2 ton truck. Between you and me the Nitto's aren't near as 'neat', but they just couldn't work out the Coopers.

I am half tempted to try them again, but buying them from 4 wheel parts instead when my Nitto's wear out.
My Cooper STT Pro’s are a C load. The Discount Tire I bought them from balanced them perfect within 20 minutes. I told them before hand that if they weren’t perfect I’d be right back. I was very insistent on everything I wanted and stood over the guy at the computer as he typed in everything I said; short valve stem, 95 ft/lb torque, 26psi, weights on the inside. When the finished I took them for a spin immediately. Got up to 65 and it was smoother than before with my 31’s that always had a shimmy between 45-50mph. That has been gone and remains gone now 2 months later. I think it’s the guy behind the Roadforce Machine. That makes all the difference in the world. And my upfront insistence that I will be back as many times as it takes to get this right. They have appointments every 30 minutes, so they don’t want to screw up. They actually screwed up my wife’s vehicle that day by putting the weights on the outside of the rim. I made them fix it. The manager actually came out and said, “We’ll move them inside, but I just want you to know that these Yukon’s are notorious for not balancing well with weights inside, so if you have a problem, just come back and we’ll put them outside.” So, that’s my experience. I’ll tell you one thing. This Discount is the nearest one to us, 50 minutes, but I’d never ever go to the two shops in our town. I’ve been multiple times and never got a perfect balance. Moral of the story is, find a good shop that does good work and don’t settle for less

Cooper SST. I think they look great, and are very quiet for a tire this aggressive.

Still looking for a shop that does good work!
I will say that 4 wheel parts did a good job balancing but they didn't torque the wheels I know that because shortly after I got the new wheels and tires I did my lift and some of the lugs were so tight I had to break them loose with a breaker bar and some winged right off. Also they put some weird long valve stems on it. But I am cool with anything I can get, if I get a good balance.

Ran 31x10.5r15C Duratracs on my stock Ravine wheels for awhile, and liked the tires. I recently bought new ATK Mojave II 17x8 wheels, and I am now running 255/75r17SL Duratracs. I'm liking the narrower tread for icy roads and cutting through snow in MN (hardtop and full doors went on for winter after taking this picture).

I had these Interco TrXuS STS on an old YJ. Sing a little on the highway, but everyone thought they looked cool! I sold the Jeep after about a year. Can't really say anything about longevity of the tires, but I had no complaints.

Running 31" KO2s on my LJ. Been very happy with them. Often I leave for work before the snowplows clear the roads up here in Maine and haven't had an issue with deep snow. Fairly quiet.

Firestone Destinations, All terrain..pretty quiet on the roads and not to bad off road. Never been in any deep mud though...(70% on road 30% off road) Will be upgrading once these are worn out to maybe Nitto or Coopers as the Duratracs and KO2's are stupid prices down here.
This threads great as I'm on the market for some ATs. And yes, ko2 and duratecs are far too pricey here.
Interested to know what other tyre options people are running..?

I'd like to go MT's as they look more aggressive but as you know @nomadave our roads can get pretty greasy after a few sunny days then a downpour... think the AT's would be safer ..Damit!! lol

Yeah my dilemma is the distances I drive before wheeling... makes for plenty of highway time. And I do more driving on sand than mud so ATs are the likely go.
