Shock suggestions - 2003 TJ

@AOR, do you know the spring rates for Rancho's 2.5" springs? Do they offer different rates? And, are their springs constant rate?

Rates and free lengths, please.

the knob faces the rear of the car but I dont see why it would get damaged.. its unobstructed.... pls advise// if its just because its exposed and will get whacked when wheeling, I am oK as thats not what i use my jeep for .

That's why, they're are too exposed and just kicking something up on the road can damage them. Everyone I know just rotates them for piece of mind. Easy to do to save a $100 shock.

Interesting springs. Roughly 1.3-2" lift depending on Jeep weight.

The fronts are right in between OME 930 and 932, but just a bit longer.

The rears lift less but are a bit heavier than the OME941, their lightest.

The fronts are useful if you can use the length. The rears are nothing special. I would consider mixing Rancho fronts with other rears depending on what I was trying to achieve.

So are these springs advertised as 2" lift springs for a TJ? I'm liking the rates. for a light TJ, they have potential.

Most mfgs do advertise lift height above stock trim levels (sahara or X models). Rock Krawler is one that advertises nominal lift height for fully loaded trail rig. If there is less weight, you will net higher lifts with their springs.

Looking into that now. Not in the system. The new part numbers are RS615B and RS616B (black now not red). They are listed as a serviceable part but not sold individually in main inventory database. As soon as I find out, I will post.
