Do you hang dry clothes to save money?

I am going to start looking into solar, I can buy a system outright for $20,000.....just trying to figure out how much longer I plan to stay here before retiring out of state.
I had my system installed about a year ago.

The company I chose provided an interest free loan through a bank for the amount of my tax credit until I receive the credit. As long as I pay it off by August I will incur no interest. As far as the remainder of the money I owe toward it, they financed it personally, also interest free for $99/mo until it’s paid off.

My parents used them a few years ago and they had the same deal. I could have paid for it out of pocket, but what’s the point of tying up my money if they’re providing an interest free loan?

Unfortunately they’re up here, but if your system was big enough, they might even be willing to do an out of town deal. It sounds like you use enough electric to need a pretty friggin huge system.

Their website says “Albany to Buffalo” and Buffalo is about as far away in NYS as you can get.

Eating homemade meals saves quite a bit too. Comparing to friends I'd say between 2-3x cheaper.

I try to pack my lunch at least 4 days a week, try for all 5. I keep cans of soup in my office...really hate paying $9.00 + just for a hero (sub, grinder). also make my coffee at home, will not be caught dead in a Starbucks for what they charge for their sludge!

do you grind your own coffee or buy grinded......was wondering which would be cheaper? you can drink organic coffee at home, cheaper than buying normal coffee out.....if your waters good. i am not a big coffee drinker normally only when i need to stay awake.

I know everyone is thinking of spring and summer but I'm gonna talk about Christmas. One thing I do each year is buy Amazon gift cards to spend on Christmas gifts. I'll start in the summer or fall and purchase one when grocery shopping. Then Christmas shopping becomes part of the weekly bills as opposed to that large expense at the end of the year. We grocery shop at Stop & Shop and use the gas points from our purchases for cheaper fuel costs. I use Amazon's wishlist so I can track prices on items for Christmas and maybe get them cheaper too. And since I'm Santa, I always make sure there's Jeep stuff under the tree. Ho Ho Ho! See you in eight months!

I buy pre-grounded Duncan donuts vanilla, get 6lbs for $39.99 so it is not bad....better than $2.89/cup in store. I don't think grinding your own is any cheaper...maybe growing your own?

Every year I usually get $1000 in Amazon cards with my credit card points for gifts, I use my credit cards a bunch for business and also charge everything for myself, I find it easier to write one big check at the end of every month rather than just carrying cash.
