This is a very good light for automotive work. At some point I will buy a second one.

My new favorite is this small M18 because of how compact it is. Folded up by itself, it is about as big as a 5ah battery...

I can already see that one is too big and bulky to fit my work flow and tool mobility needs. I very rarely need to flood an entire space to that extent.

I have one of those. It’s handy but as you said the batteries really kill it.

The Milwaukee I posted above is more useful, longer lasting and brighter.

I haven’t used in the garage so didn’t want to recommend it but my new M18 rocket light seems to have a lot of potential, would work well for above ground work. Runs both M18 and can be plugged in to an extension cord.

Looks like the Rover might be a good replacement for the crappy light that came with the rolling tool tray.

Actually I got those XC4.0s confused with the newer XC5.0s. I have 2 of the XC5.0s and they are great. Reviews on the XC6.0s were not all as good as the ones for the XC5.0s.

Some of the reviews said they get too hot and have short lifespans. Some suggested that Milwaukee pushed the envelope too far with them.

They are kind of like the M12 version of the forge. The new M12 stubbies need them for their higher torque ratings. Things like my M12 leaf blower feel like they have another gear using them. Even my Milwaukee jacket feels warmer quicker and seems hotter.

If they have bigger than 5.0 I’d like to know so I could buy them.

I also have the Milwaukee heated jacket.
I don't use it that much these days, but when I was working out in the weather it sure was a blessing.
Having it work with the same battery pack and charger as my tools was essential.

I recently purchased a few off-brand batteries and they work great.

I haven't been wearing mine much, not cold enough I guess. Was -4° this morning when I left for work.

I'm not a fan of lights that aren't on my head or around my neck. If your arm or body gets in the way of some other light it casts this thing called a "shadow" which means I can't see well.

The M18 Rover is an amazing light. It's stupid good.

One thing that needs to be mentioned is that the color temperature of Milwaukee lights is very comfortable to look through.

And a BIG yes to this .. makes for a huge difference.
