Idjits. Even as stupid kids back in the Dukes of Hazzard and Smokey and the Bandit days we knew those car jumping scenes were bullshit and never attempted it ourselves.
A nice raised train track crossing was my launch point of choice back in my airborne days.

Yeah and if you are going to jump you don't just send it the 1st time. You start slow to see what happens and gradually work your way up.
I was giving a buddy a ride to school for a while and would pick him up in my ranger right before the best jump spot in town. He was kinda slow to get buckled in and learned to push on the roof to avoid hitting his head.
Mine was a concrete pad in front of a concession stand at a baseball field , it shifted about 14 " in 12 ft. A 51 Chevy 4 door will get about a foot of air at 25 m.p.h.

I have 100% confidence in humanity's ability to extinct them again if we put our minds to it. RPGs for the big ones to start.
