yea man, I didn't have video either, but I did happen upon an email chain that documented it all chapter and verse, and I could fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool with the amount of popcorn I've eaten watching the shitshow that came in its wake for 14 years and counting.
Never again.
My bachelorhood was confirmed immediately and forever in those moments and I've never wavered on that one iota. In all my years of dating since I've made it a point to clarify that immediately, if the woman is in the pool for that purpose she oughta know I'm not, that is a courtesy I think everyone deserves. And it has in fact killed off some prospects, so be it. Long term relationships & potentially even permanent ones are fine so long as both parties are there voluntarily of their own free will because they continue to want that. I have no use for inviting the government in as a third party to my personal life, they already barge in involuntarily way too much in other aspects for my taste, I'll be damned if I'll ever open the door and invite those cocksuckers in.
I had a 9 month "starter marriage" that ended legally on our first anniversary (took 3 months to get a legal resolution) It ruined a perfectly fine 3 year relationship. I moved on and haven't see her since the divorce finalization hearing. Haven't heard anything and never tried to find out anything either.
Couldn't change what happened so no use in letting it effect me going forward. She cheated, I found out and moved on. Rough for a few months but I wasn't going to let it effect me permanently.
Try it again with kids in the mix. Hard to escape that one.
No kids but I got the dog. I was forced to give her a car that I made payments on for a year afterward... some BS called "maintenance". I advanced the money and moved on.
